Super Enhanced Item Creation


To make items such as my last tutorial you needed to have only 1 of each item and only needed 1 of each because in RM2k and 2k3 it can only see if you have the item in fork conditions not how many.
So here's the new feature...

Variable Base Items:

Create an item in you database linked to a common event through a switch called whatever you named the item so you can keep track.

Now make several variables each named after the items you want to be used for item creation whether they be metal materials or monster drops such as fangs or feathers.
Make a message that says:
"You currently have..."
then display the item's name
"Fang: \v[VARIABLE NUMBER GOES HERE]"
and it will show what the variable is currently set at.

I suggest making the item that keeps track of the variables is a container for that item,
so if you make an item of the material itself you can "ADD TO BAG" by simply removing the item from inventory and adding +1 to the variable.

Example:
"Fang Variable" A variable in you list of variables should be set to "0" once you first get.
You add to this when you add fangs to you fang bag.
You also remove from the variable if fangs are used in item creation.
Always make Fork Condition to make sure you have the right amount or more in the variable or else you'll mess up.

"Fang Bag": Shows variable for you current amount of fangs carried in it.

"Fang" Removes itself and adds +1 to your "Fang Variable"

"Event or Creation Skill Involving Fangs": Checks through Fork Condition if you have the exact amount needed if not more in the variable for fangs and then removes them for the event to proceed.

If lacking enough Fangs make a message window that tells them that they don't have enough.

Field Run Example:
Player gets FANG BAG!
Player checks FANG BAG: You currently have 0 Fang(s)
Player defeats monster that drops a fang.
Player goes to items and uses item FANG
FANG removes itself from inventory and adds +1 to variable for fangs.
Player checks FANG BAG again.
You currently have 1 Fang(s)
Player collects a total of 5 Fangs!
Player goes to NPC
NPC: I can make you a FANG NECKLACE if you bring me 5 fangs.

NPC > Fork Condition:
Check Variable "FANGS" is "5" or more...
ADD ELSE CASE.
HAS 5 FANGS = NPC: Ah, I see you have 5 Fangs, let me make you a necklace with them...

*Subtracts 5 fangs from variable FANGS and adds 1 Fang
Necklace to items.*


DOES NOT HAVE 5 FANGS = NPC: I'm afraid I can't make you a Fang Necklace unless you have 5 Fangs.
