How to make your character run using an item (NO SCRIPTS) 
You say you want to make your character run but you can't write a dash script or are too lazy to find one? No problem! Simply make an item that makes your character run!!! First, open rmxp. Next, go to the database. Go to common events. Name one of them "Running Crystal" or whatever your item that makes your character faster is named. Double-click on the event page and click insert. Go to the second page and click "Set Move Route." Look for a button that says Set Speed. This makes the character faster or slower. Make the speed faster than the default speed (The default speed for your character is 4)
Now, go to your item in the database. Look for text that says Common Event. Now set the common event for the item. Which common event I mean is the one we made earlier. Now when your character uses this item, he/she will be faster!
