Fog
FOG.
This simple example shows how to make dynamic moving fog in Game Maker using the built in "effect_create_above" function. The theory works on the basis that the ef_cloud fades in and out, so by looping the effect continuously it will create a gradual build up of clouds; when the cloud emitter is moved the clouds will seem to shift towards the emitter's new position.
To vary the fog's intensity use the left mouse button to create more obj_fogs and the right to destroy them, you can also use the left and right buttons to change the shiftyness of the fog and the mouse wheel up and down to change the intensity of the created clouds.
