Another Cheat System
First Make a Blank Character call It cheat code or what ever you wish.
Now Make and Item to call it, or event in the game.
The common even Should look Like this. Oh and make sure you have a switch to turn it on and off.
I have it like this
Item Cheat Pad- Calls common event
Control Switches:[0001:Cheat]=ON
Name Input Processing: Cheat Code,16 Characters
This way when this switch is activated All the Other Common events can run Parallel to it.
A common Event For activating a Cheat code Should look like this.
Condition Branch:[Cheat Code] is Name "ATM' Applied
Play SE:'Shop' 80,100
Text: You just activated the ATM. Received 1000 Gold.
Change Gold: +1000
Change Actor Name: [Cheat Code], "Cheat Code"
Control Switch:[0001:Cheat]=Off
By turning the Switch off
You can Reset the item's Common Event.
And Resetting the Cheat Codes name back to Cheat Code Allows the Common event that runs Parallel not to run like a turned on water hose that continues to run, and run, and run. repeating the money process dis allowing you to go on with the game in an eternal loop.
If you wish to make more codes Just run other Parallel Common Events Like the one you saw before.
It get's rid of the 1-9 digit pass codes allowing you to use those for puzzles in your game like locks on chests, or doors.
