New and Improved Advanced Running and Jumping System!!
Basic Information:
This new and improved system served to combine two of my previous event systems, adding a new feature to the Jumping System that could only have been possible with the running system!!
Q - So why was this system created? :hm:
A - This system was constructed for ONE specific reason: "Database Piracy"...The previous system was un-organized, using more switches and lines of code than needed for any running or jumping system. I wanted a system that had higher capabilities and one that allowed more features, while using the least amount of code Chaos Project has ever seen is this kind of system!! To put simply...This sytsem was created for event efficiency. :thumbsup:
Features:
1. Use an item to accelerate chara's speed...
2. Use armor/accessory to accelerate chara's speed...
3. Accelerate chara's speed without the use of items...
4. Jump while walking around or standing still...
5. While running, the ability to jump an extra panel is available!!
- This was the extra feature added...It's purpose is served as you have seen in many Zelda games. It gives you the option of having unavailable areas in the game until you acquire the item that allows you to run... :naughty:
What used to be needed:
- 3 Common events (2 for the running, 1 for the jumping)
- 5 switches (1 for activation, 2 for the running, 2 for the jumping)
- 1 Item - Optional
What is now needed:
- 1 Common event
- 3 switches (1 for activation, 1 for running, 1 for jumping)
- 1 item - Optional
I have decided against making a photographic Tutorial for this system, simply because the screenshot cannot get the whole event...Well, that and it's just easier for the consumer to copy and paste the event from the Tut Game to their project...efficiency baby!! :thumbsup:
