The Way: Episode 4 Review
''The Way - Episode 4'': The never ending words to a lonely song
Review by Deacon Batista
Gameplay:
You play in an ugly huge city nearly all the time. Many dialogues. Not much action. This episode is damn long and you hope that it ends all the time while playing. Most of the time you have to reach a new point in the city only to read more and more long dialogues.
The only interesting scene is Rhue killing his female friend Lexus at the end by accident.
Fights are primitive (standard battle system) and always against the same bald headed opponents who are hardly to avoid. The great plunge battle system is not often seen in this game.
Graphic:
Mapping and chipsets are only average. No landscapes. The Facesets and Sprites are well edited, but you already know nearly all of them from the first 3 episodes. The scenes in the stadium are the best. The audience is well done with all those sprites.
Music:
Good original soundtracks including one new theme especially for this episode. The rest is already known from the former episodes, but also nice to hear.
Result: This episode is the weakest of ''The Way'' so far. Not enough funny battling, to much talking. the balance between action and story is not well done.
Rating: 4 points out of 10.
