One of the BEST games I've ever played! Well worth the TIME!

Review by Ratty524

Did you like my sarcasm? Anyway...

Bad games are commonplace. It doesn't really matter whether we are dealing with professional games or indie, as there will always be someone who will screw up. The good thing about home brew projects, though, is that you have time to fix your mistakes, and demos displaying a hoard of crap can be turn into something more acceptable. Perhaps if the creator of this game did just that, as oppose to calling this vomit "Complete", this might have turned out better than what it is now.

Let's start off with the intro, or lack thereof. You are seemingly awakened by the voice of your mom, telling you to get down for breakfast, and here's the funny part: Once you do go downstairs to talk to her, she just tells you to go outside and play. Funny, eh? Eh?

It gets better, after talking to some... Oldly polite people, you immediately end up walking towards some castle, where you find out the King wants to speak to you, I bet you know where this is going. Then, the king begs of you, and yes, your main character is called "You", to save his daughter from "The Zombie King". In summary, some random little kid wakes up in the morning and is RANDOMLY selected by the king to save a princess. How ORIGINAL!

After that, you just go through a series of short, default battles and finally face this "Zombie King", all within a range of about five to ten minutes? This was simply a waste of time to play. I was at least glad the creator didn't make the default battles too difficult like a few other poor souls do, then again I think that is about the only real work I see in this game.

BEGIN YE BUTCHERING
Story:
You can see based on my description above that it's nothing special. In fact, it's not very well written to begin with.
1/5

Graphics:
There are two type of bad mapping: one is the kind where the creator doesn't utilize his space, the other is where the default tiles are so misused that the map itself makes no sense. This game's visuals kind of fall in between of those two bads.
0/5

Functionality:
Well... It's PRETTY DANG FUNCTIONAL, being that there was no effort into making anything custom in this game. Some event positions are kind of flawed, however, as they merely rely on pressing the action key next to a person you can easily bypass.
3/5

Music:
Not too much to say since it's all default music. At least it's fitting in some places.
3/5

Overall:
Default + default + poor mapping + poor in general = This game. Maybe the creator can remake this, and this time actually do something to MAKE IT HIS OWN. No one wants to see this much default crud in the games here. Don't even call it "classic-styled", because I've seen classic role-playing games that look better than this.
2/5
