Has Potential, But Could Be Better...

The way I rate stuff is simple. I start at 5 if it's an average game, and at 10 if it's a good game. Then I add or subtract depending on good or bad aspects. So, it doesn't really need to be a perfect game to get a 10 in my book, just a decent game which is complete and polished, and I can't find anything seriously wrong with it. There aren't too many of those here, including my own game (it's not done, and every few tries I find and fix glitches).
So yeah, we started with an average game. That game did have potential for creativity (you seldom start with a sick old man, it's usually a young kid with martial arts sword skills), but it used the generic graphics, and had no battlecharsets at all for our old man. That was kinda disappointing, but more or less a simple lack of polish. But, ultimately I stopped playing because of the unnecessary ladders and staircases in buildings, and weird scene changes (you'd exit a bar, be in a forest with no sign of the bar, walk right and the forest would be filled with dead trees, and the next screen was a ruins). For that matter, you had some random guy screaming at the top of his lungs and running around before falling dead at your feet.
It had potential, and some creativity (especially for humor, considering it was horror genre), but it was a bit convoluted and disjointed.
