A Good First Try

This game is pretty fairly done in terms of knowledge of event movement & management. While not a "deep" game, its witty dialogue did provide a couple laughs. Unfortunately, this game provides no reason for the player to actually be interested in the story or care about the protagonist's plight. The game fails at being "fun" and instead provides plenty of grinding through monsters just to get through many of the initial areas. I was going to deem some problems I ran into as bugs, such as the inability to go back to a previous area (through a cave entrance for instance), but I'll give the author benefit of the doubt and assume he meant for it that way.
Pros:
- Several humorous moments
- Short and sweet intro (I wish more games did this)
Cons:
- Poor, uncaptivating story
- Unoriginal use of RTP resources
- Having to fight a party of over-powered monsters every few steps, especially in the caves
- Repetitive music
- Poor combat system (I know it's the default battle system, but if you're going to rely on it as much as this game does, it needs to be replaced or improved.
