I'm just going to throw myself into this one here...
Lets start with storyline. We start with Rock Rolls [May as well be Rick Roll'd.] about to be eaten by a book. My instant thought here was Why? My second was Why Not? Atleast they'll probably be a battle here... I was wrong. Instead we wake up. And after getting told off by Mr. Salazar, he gives Rock a book and tells him to read it. Lalala Oh no! The book it's sucked Rock in!!! After doing after moving through a maze another one and then claiming some boxes. You begin some actual fighting... And in my opinion is rather one sided. Just by battling 2 red slimes you could be on the verge of a gameover. It takes around 10 turns attacking normally to kill one of them, and between the two of them they require the same.
Ignoring this after defeating the overpowered boss... Which requires some serious grinding.
You are then transported back home. And have to speak to teach. And then you go home again and go back into your book. And then you find yourself chasing a train defusing a bomb, killing a mummy, restoring a village. I stopped here...
To be fair the game isn't bad... It just needs to be put more logically. It just seems like insanity on a page.
Not to mention, there are a lot of pointless things in here. Mainly the Kingdom Hearts Display, I know in the other review they said the same thing but... Heck it needs to be said. However unlike the other review, I like the Sideview system, for me the original battle system is just terrible.
Ok Basically to Summarise:
+ "Interesting" Story
+ Sideview Battle System
+ Quite a few nice maps
- "Interesting" Story can be quite annoying at some times.
- Grinding and Enemy Stats
- Technology Issues. [You say it 2010, except in some spots, it seems like 2150 or 1750]
