Uploads are now available! Please delete your game downloads and upload them on RRR!

2008-07-05 - Hello, everyone. As many of you may know, the download counter for games has been broken. The counter has been revamped and fixed, so it should now be properly doing its job, by keeping track how many downloads your files will get.
On a second note, the only way to have the download counter properly track your downloads is to have your file hosted here at RRR. It may seem as I'm using the limitations of the download tracker in order to switch from non-local files to uploaded files, but I've been planning to allow public uploads since the beginning. Due to the 'freshness' of the game system, it was only allowing URLs. However, we are now accepting full blown game uploads! No more megaupload or rapishare. Just upload your game here! Please remember, that this will include 'deleting' your old downloads and uploading new ones! I will try my best to slowly go through the non-local downloads, but the majority of the responsibility will be on submission's owner.
On another matter, I must bring up certain security notes. Allowing public uploads can be a dangerous thing. However, not to worry. The game downloader masks the location of the uploaded files (only allowing files to 'save as'). So, even if a potentially dangerous file is uploaded, it can never be executed from the server. The download system can't be exploited for those type of things. However, if anybody does catch anyone adding a file type other than the disignated file, please report it immediately as malicious uploads will result in the swift ban of any member who does so.
