RPG Maker VX Released in Japan
Today is the official release date for RPG Maker VX, but Enterbrain has done more for its promotion.

2007-12-27 16:58:41 - Today is the official release date for RPG Maker VX in Japan - the latest installment to the PC RPG Maker role-playing game engine series by Enterbrain. Other than being released on the shelves of Japanese shops today, Enterbrain has added and updated various downloads and information related to RPG Maker VX as well! So today in this news article, we expect to bring you the latest up-to-date information on what is happening
at the time of this anticipated engine's release.
Official website's change of address
The "Tkool Web", a site that contained various links to downloads and information related to all game development tools by Enterbrain, has moved to a more appropriate home, at a more friendly URL of http://www.tkool.jp (from the previous http://www.enterbrain.co.jp/tkool). Along with this transfer, the site has been updated in terms of layout, structure, and content.
The content now includes various support topics on all the "Makers" (including 2D Fighter Maker 2nd) by Enterbrain, including a FAQ for RPG Maker VX. Like with RPG Maker XP, the information regarding the net authentication system has been updated, appropriate to RPG Maker VX.
Other than that, the site divides all the content that previously existed to outline of the "Maker" series, links to the products, support topics and links to some fan-made content (like the famous icon drawing tutorial).
This also marks a change in the URL of the RPG Maker VX official website, and all updates will be made here subsequently.
Run Time Package download released
As with all releases of the RPG Maker series, a Run Time Package, or RTP, has been released. This package installs all the necessary files that allows RPG Maker VX games to be run on your computer - this means all the audio, graphics and the RGSS library, so it might be nice to have a look at it if you can't get a hold of the Japanese RPG Maker VX yet (like the most of us!).

RPG Maker VX FAQ
The English translation for the RPG Maker VX FAQ section is now complete, thanks to Elemental Crisis. It provides some extra information for RPG Maker VX, as well as answers to some topics that may confuse some users.
Such as:
"Q: Recovery skils cannot be made in the "skill" tab.
A: When putting in the value for "basic damage", change
it to a negative (-) number and the skill will restore HP when used."
