A non-battle RPG, taking place throughout the seasons of the year of a city under siege. You play as Lohn, a young boy who fate has made the sole survivor of the town. Going through the streets in desperation, Lohn meets a nobly dressed man, who offers him a chance to bring his hometown back to life. Without knowing his intentions, Lohn accepts on the man's offer, and the game begins.
Sunset Over Imdahl was made in rm2k and utilizes hand-drawn backdrops over tile-based mapping. The game is short, containing only a few hours of gameplay, however, is a completed project of the highest standard..

I played partially through the game a while ago. I don't remember a lot about it, except as you can see, all of the maps are hand-drawn backdrops. I think it was a game where you had to solve the mystery of how to keep the village alive. It didn't really keep me hooked. |

I've done backdrops over tiling too, but I'm a better photographer than artist. So I had to do alot of conversion to get it to work, since it was too many colors. |

Interestingly fresh, simple and dark game. Full of twists and turns. Suffers from a good amount of fetch quests, if I recall. Also, this game is a bit short, only about 2-3 hours long.
If your looking for a quick distraction, this one will fill the bill, and then some! |
