UPDATE STATUS:
No progress at all... Extremely busy right now... Final Exam... *beep*...
TalesOf_Fantasy (Sun, 26 Dec 2010 11:13:07 -0500)
Chapter 1 is almost complete. In the beginning, I wanted to make the game full with all the chapter in one game. I'm still intent to do that, but with my SPM exams coming up, there is barely anytime to do it. So the game will be split up chapter by chapter. Eg: The first full game download would only end with the end of chapter 1. The next full game download would have have both chapter 1 and 2 playable and end at chapter 2. Converting the save file from the full game with only chapter 1 to the full game with both chapter 1 and 2 would be possible.

good to see you actually still sticking to this game ^_^
I guess it only 15% to 30% done...
Pathetic isn't it... 3 years and still that...
But i am not giving up yet! And there may be someone who is waiting for this game to complete... I really don't wanna disappoint anyone... (If there is someone who is 'actually' waiting for this low class outdated graphic game) and thanks for the advice one the forum thing... I do it later after this message

Good to see this is still in progress. Is there any indication of how far along this is coming? Also, you may want to consider adding this into the Long Demo's portion in the Forum, as it may garner more interest and feedback (unless it's already there and I missed it).

When I talked to the guard and asked to train I got an error because it could not find the forest background. So I took a parallex, created a folder for background, renamed it to Forest1, and it worked, although it didn't quite fit the screen and it was a water background. I just wanted to test the gameplay anyway, so it didn't matter at that moment. However, then when I first entered the cave, I got another error saying it couldn't find Dungeon1 or something of the sort. Somehow I think this folder was missing with the download. I got your email that the download is fixed now, so I'll test it when I get home and let you know.

thx for checking out the demo ver2.0!
Starting the game without a shop is my way of making the game a bit of a challenge to start. The shop below of Yuna Village is not block accually... It's just close hehe, another way to make the game challenging.
As for the players getting lost... I'll make some more hints or something, but I doubt anyone would get easily lost.... It's an RPG game! You suppose to explore every part of the game's area! That's the basic of RPG... And for the background battle picture... WTF? Did I misdownload or something? I need check this... Oh, tell when did the game crash exactly. I'll try to repair it!
So thx again for checking the new demo out...
There will be another demo... the last one...
But with my exam comming up... I doubt it will come out soon so THX a million again! ^-^

First off, your download is missing the pictures folder with all the backgrounds. As a result, whenever you get into battle the game crashes because it can't find that background pic. There's ways around it, but it is a hassle. Also, there are a lot of misspellings, so something to go through and correct grammar, misspellings, and fix the past tense ("I was scare" should be "I was scared", etc.) before the final version. Also, you may still want to include an item shop right from the beginning to allow players to go back and forth and stock up on a few curable items, because even though the game is easier now, you are still limited on the amount of items you can find. I know you have a shop in the lower part of Yuna Village, but it's blocked initially and even when you do get access to the lower part the item shop is locked. Is there a reason we don't have access to the lower part right from the beginning. You could make that available, including the item shop, and just post somebody by the cave entrance if you don't want them venturing too far. And if you are afraid the player would get lost in searching for the keys just have the farmer that lost them say something like "I thought I lost them somewhere in the forest east of Upper Yuna" or whatever the upper portion is called.

I will say this version is much better than the previous ones, as monsters have been toned down quite a bit. I was able to finally get passed the bandits. And the save point helps. Still, an item shop would work great, or if not that allow the player to return to his house as many times as needed to sleep and restore. This gives the player a chance to heal up as they are trying to level grind before hitting the first boss.

But of course, we need that pictures folder to avoid the game crashing every time it can't find a background for the battles.

TalesOf_Fantasy (Fri, 07 May 2010 11:27:47 -0400)
thx for the first comment amerkevicius!
Sorry about the game for being so hard...
I was so focus on the plot rather than the gameplay...
I'm making a new demo now it's, I guess a little better but I'll let you and the other gamer judge it...
And again thx a million for the first comment!

Your game is way too hard to start off. No option to save, no way to restore or buy any restorative items. The enemies are relentless, leaving you no option of offense/defense before the first battle, and fleeing from the enemies to conserve your health is a large hit and miss. You also have a lot of spelling and grammar errors. The plot does sound interesting, but the game needs to be playable. I recommend finding a balance between the enemies and characters, and probably include both a save option and the ability to sleep and restore in the first town.
