It is mere coincidence that this game has the same name of this website. I worked hard on this game, I have a big story planned for the full version, and I've done what I could to make a good presentation with the title and the end (opening) credits.
I've tested the game numerous times to make sure it works right (if there's still problems, let me know). My map-making skills are still limited, as the areas are few and slightly questionable in design. I'm planning to make plenty more for the full version and they'll look better (hopefully).
The battles as far as this demo goes are all against guards and the boss battle at the end is fairly easy (thought it would be only necessary). More enemies will be introduced as well as more challenging battles.
Overall, I'm just trying to say that this project means a lot to me and that I don't want it removed without me being able to fix any certain problems.
So onto the game itself: Basically, I just decided to make an RPG with RPG Maker XP using all of the default resources, adding in my own only where necessary. I developed from there and came up with a story that interests me...
The eight main characters of the story are the default ones, and retain the default names given to them (Arshes, Basil, Sirus, Dorothy, Estelle, Felix, Gloria and Hilda). The game starts off with the default team (Arshes, Basil, Gloria, Hilda), who have formed a group known as the Renaissance.
The Renaissance's purpose is to advance the world to a more ideal state. However, their actions are not approved by higher monarchs in the nearby Kingdom of Ecco, to the point in which they have received an eviction notice from the landscape in which they hub.
Planning to travel to Ecco the next morning to plead for reconsideration, they are attacked that night by soldiers of the Ecco army.
Anyway, I hope you enjoy the game and await the full version that is currently in development.

This game shows a lot of promise. I enjoyed the storyline as far as it went, and you did a fine job in creating distinct personalities for each character. My only real complaint with your game is your map-making skills... I can see that you need to get a better grip on the asthetics of RPG Maker, but that skill will come as you move along with your project. I had fun playing through the demo and I look forward to playing the full version once you complete it. |

I fixed the little goof at the end. And I know I'm not being original with the eight names, but this is part of a personal project using all the things the program has to offer. I'll make up for them by coming up with original names as I progress.
