A girl from the streets is suddenly called on a spiritual quest to find a series of mystical tattoos capable of awesome power. The setting here is Earth, several millenia in the future. Unlike many futuristic tales though, people are not typically in flying cars, as around the last millennium or so, a demon showed up and with it, technology and most of the world's religions collapsed. Also, the world kinda restarted itself long ago after another apocalyptic event, so much of history is lost, and geography changed. What remains now is a society based upon town rule, with kings or presidents being subject to restrictions on the range of their territory. It is in this climate that the demon, once sealed before, begins to bid for a return to power.
Main Characters:
-Ambrosia Brahmin, a girl from the streets, with an unknown past and a slightly tomboyish personality.
-Nevras Fitzembor, a swordsman who saves her in battle. His personality is easygoing, but also slightly submissive and effeminate.
-Elias Charity, a shaman possessing a great amount of wisdom, and the ability to read old tablets. The most level-headed of the party, he feels something for Aqorm, which his reason can't explain.
-Aqorm, the party's resident thief. She is an elf by heritage, but her family is wealthy (and a bit odd). She left home to become a musician, but instead ended up on the streets.
-Anideshi, studied to become a Sage (think Naruto-style Sage, complete with the transformation). Has a strange connection to another character by reincarnative cycles, and is slightly afraid of her destiny.
-Azrael, an exorcist with a slightly ruthless attitude toward demons in general. Somewhat obsessed with duty, she has a previous connection with Anideshi.
-The archangel Michael. He joins Ambrosia's party after her answer to one of his questions intrigues him. As an angel, he appears more female than male (angels are sexually ambiguous in most legends), and has a personality to match. Michael can use Truename spells, to type in new techniques from enemies, similar to Rudora no Hihou's battle system.
-Lilith, a demon, joins Ambrosia's party somewhere along the way. She is not very popular with either Azrael or Michael.
-Yazim Jianne, the evil demon Belial's right hand for much of the game (optional party). A not-so evil wizard following the demon Belial for the promise to resurrect his departed wife.
-Belial, a demon seeking to invade the Earth from the World of Void. The World of Void was almost destroyed by the Ancient One (an optional boss), and Belial wishes a better land for his people.
-Estheriel, the Game+ final boss. An angel who has dissociated herself with God due to the fact that God allowed evil (like Belial) to continue to exist. She seeks a world without evil, at the expense of free will (Any of you who have played the New Earth, and finished it will recognize this character).
-Tamashii Brahmin, Ambrosia's daughter. Age nine, she is born with the powers of a Soulfire (in this game, it's a type of empath/psychic with pyrokinetic abilities). With the some of the personality traits of Nevras and Ambrosia, she has a strong desire for adventure. She appears in Game+ mode.

Features:
-A working weather system.
-A day/night system.
-A working seasons system, which even changes tiles according to which season it is.
-A party tent which builds somewhat by purchasing additions, and which triggers only in savepoints or on the world map.
-Party switching menu.
-A custom menu (simple)

Okay, the game should be better now (especially the void thing, which was a tileset issue).

Bugtesting. One of my "friends" says he's gonna review it now (while it's somewhere in the game).
bulmabriefs144 (Fri, 19 Oct 2012 11:01:23 -0400)
I'm making a merged version of the game, with some new scripts. Also, what's with the 2/5 ratings?
bulmabriefs144 (Wed, 03 Oct 2012 19:29:12 -0400)
Okay, the game is done~
bulmabriefs144 (Thu, 20 Sep 2012 02:11:53 -0400)
You get something called a Transport Coin. Tell me if that works, or I need to bug fix.

There's a palm tree or something in the void. If you sleep there, it should trade in your items.

Can't finish boats dont work in the void.

At least, not to my knowledge.

Ummm, no it doesn't.

Your game has a virus attached!!!!!!

The game is complete! Except for some last-min bug checks...

For some odd reason, I can't type more than two lines.
bulmabriefs144 (Wed, 13 Oct 2010 18:48:48 -0400)
Sorry guys, still in demo mode. Though it's the longest demo ever, there are major gaps, like in the Kushiyama library, where half the books have the title and the option to read but nothing inside when you do.
bulmabriefs144 (Wed, 08 Sep 2010 14:27:56 -0400)
I hope so too. It's got coherence going for it so far, but right now it's still not done.

I hope it better than the new earth bulmabriefs144

So much for last demo update, huh? Oh well, making fairly good progress. I'm now working on a romance branch, and a few plot branches (mostly endgame). I've got all the plot stuff for the first game (that makes it about 50%) but ummm, I need to hook it all together. There are a few events that don't connect with everything else, some incomplete towns, and quite a bit of work before everything clicks together. And then I need to make more dungeons.
bulmabriefs144 (Wed, 02 Jun 2010 00:47:28 -0400)
Finally, demo 3.0 is out! Slowly working toward a completed game. I'm done with about 1/3 of the main plot, plus many of the object scripts. Also, it now is so it doesn't need the RTP so much (which is good since my computer crashed and I didn't have it anymore).
bulmabriefs144 (Mon, 22 Mar 2010 16:16:01 -0400)
Demo 2.0 is out! Includes a few updates to the script, and new facesets (my characters have expressions now), as well as some battle updates.
bulmabriefs144 (Mon, 22 Feb 2010 17:14:46 -0500)
Should be the last demo update, now for the main game...
bulmabriefs144 (Mon, 15 Feb 2010 16:52:44 -0500)
Okay. Rate away. I have my latest version. Battle balance is still a little weird, but it's pretty much how mine are made.
bulmabriefs144 (Mon, 15 Feb 2010 15:36:55 -0500)
Currently uploading fixed version, should be done by end of day. This will still be 1.0 though, as I haven't made the last plot advancement to complete the demo (it still "hangs" with you entering a room, and suddenly To Be Continued). I suggest you move the saved games you have to this one (in the case of ATB may not help, since you already have those stats.
-K, there might be some technically unbalanced enemies,
(as in too hard mixed in with too weak), but the experience and gold ratio to challenge should be fixed. Treasure and grouping on the other hand, is more or less random. I often had one stronger enemy leading several weaker ones.
-Agility is average progression (meaning you will eventually be faster than your enemies). This also increases your hit% probably.
-Text has only a few sections without input, and they
are usually non-essential parts.
-That song this is not a bug or a loop. I designed it to stay when you play (most pianos in RL require you to sit there, rather than just having you walk off and the piano continuing to play), play once, and resume the music before.
-I now have a steal system which names a specific item, but it's a work in progress, so for now, most enemies will only give potions (bleh).

Stupid auto-smiley system.
bulmabriefs144 (Mon, 15 Feb 2010 08:41:18 -0500)
Btw, after I'm done with that, I'm going to work on the Steal award, and making a system to name them (all the steals say "you stole an item!"Smiley
bulmabriefs144 (Mon, 15 Feb 2010 08:28:05 -0500)
Okay, I'll take things under consideration. I like the strength of some of the enemies (I've beaten some at low levels if I knew the right strategy, but they've been known to kill me at 99), but I'll work on exp awards. I may have trouble gauging which enemies are easier or harder, because some have status effects that mess you up, making it less an issue of stats, and more an issue of personal attacks.

I think I'll also get rid of some of the next screen coding, and just leave it for non-essential text, like people saying "Okay" or "Right on!"

The ATB I can't seem to get right, but I'll make it average at least for all. I think both of the last two complaints have to do with agility.

Actually, hold off until I do my next update. That way I'll have a chance to try to fix some of the issues.
edchuy (Sat, 13 Feb 2010 21:01:49 -0500)
Good thing you changed the download from megaupload, since it can't download for free from there. Apparently, I have a unfinished downloaded that I would somehow need to finish before using that site again! Plus sometimes the capcha you enter doesn't work ...

I have taken the boat for the first time. So far, I have a few complaints about the demo that I think need to be addressed to improve it:

- unbalanced enemies (some weak ones give you lots of experience, money and items, while some harder ones give you very little)
- ridiculously fast auto-scrolling text (probably changes to new text in less than 2 seconds, not allow you to read it!)
- excessively slow ATB speeds for the members of your team, which allows 2 or 3 turns of your enemies, which is tough if they have a strong move or causing status ailments
- your characters miss a lot using simple attacks, which makes the last point even worse
- a certain song you can choose to play, takes up about 3 minutes (I think one loop of the song would be enough!) where you have to wait to finally have it end

I won't rate your game just yet, until I finish the demo ...
bulmabriefs144 (Sat, 13 Feb 2010 13:22:08 -0500)
Ugh, I read up on the Megaupload file policy, and unless you spend a fortune getting a lifetime membership, they eventually delete all your files. So I hooked up to mediafire. I think I'll use that from now on.
bulmabriefs144 (Sat, 13 Feb 2010 00:40:12 -0500)
I've had those before... My last game was The New Earth (on rpmaker.net, switched to here, because they denied this game before I could even upload the demo. Why? They won't say).
Ulf Peddicord (Fri, 12 Feb 2010 13:03:09 -0500)
Unfortunatley I got a bad review before I found the bugs in my game. But Is fixed it. Anyway, I'll download your game as well. Don't forget to score my game (5 starts preferably).
bulmabriefs144 (Fri, 12 Feb 2010 11:26:14 -0500)
Just for that, I'm downloading your game. Rawr!
Ummmm, I may need to make an update of the demo, does anyone know if it double-posts if I try? I'm not terribly adept at working with net systems.
Why do I need to update you ask? Well, I found one glitch (when I added on more status conditions the old negative status Taint got shifted to Haste, so the Haste drained MP instead of increasing agility), and added in a simple naming system (I didn't notice the Enter Hero Name or the Key Input one until recently as they were sandwiched in with unrelated commands), I'm also working towards a more suspenseful demo ending (I mean geez, you walk into a room and the demo abruptly ends).

Probably be done with it in a few weeks so hold off any reviews until then.
Ulf Peddicord (Thu, 11 Feb 2010 15:10:44 -0500)
Hey, man. Check your downloads. For some reason the number of your downloads is always the same as mine. I've been watching this since yesterday to make sure it wasn't a coincidence. Pretty strange, huh?
bulmabriefs144 (Thu, 11 Feb 2010 11:17:35 -0500)
Yay! It's up.
