This is not really a game, but more like a short movie (hence so-called a 'Rm2kfic'). You do not play the game, but instead you watch various cutscenes, following the story.
Maranda is a story based on a Final Fantasy VI fanfic, which is set several months before the events of the original game itself. It's about a small family that lives in the town of Maranda, how the town comes under Imperial rule, and the consequences of the occupation. It doesn't spoil anything from the game (being a prequel and all) but if you haven't played the game you might not know some of the characters. There's only one major graphical glitch that I know of. See if you can spot it!
