Final Salvation was a Final Fantasy-style RPG I was developing on RPG Maker 2k3. I stopped quite some time ago to work on something else with XP, so I decided that I should upload it for the sake of it being useful.
Some of the resources in the game are RTP, some are resources gathered from various websites, and some have even been made by yours truly. Stolen resources are frowned upon and will not be tolerated.
Final Salvation tells the story of an average, teenage hunter-in-training named Zion, who is nearing the completion of his training. One morning, his mentor and teacher, Vargas, takes him out for an field exam with the senior hunters, including Zion's father. During the exam however, the overzealous Vargas takes Zion into territory restricted to juniors, in which they rescue Zion's father from an undying mutant monster.
Zion and Vargas' subsequent journey to discover the origin of the creature and avenge a fallen village would have spanned many hours had I not given up on it, so this 2-3 hour opening will have to suffice. Remember it is UNFINISHED.
Note: Read at least the first 3 pages of the READ ME.doc file. It contains game play instructions and most importantly notes on the known glitches and bugs, some of which can and will DAMAGE your save. You have been warned.
CHARACTERS:
Zion: A 17-year-old boy who resides in Elcino Village. Because of his inexperience, he can be unsure of what to do at times. He often experiences visions in his sleep. He wakes form one such vision on the day of his first field hunting exercise. While on this exercise, events occur which send him on an adventure far bigger than he could have imagined.
Vargas: By comparison a young man, but an important Elcino villager. He is the hunter-in-chief of the village, and is the one who accompanies Zion on his field hunting exercise. He is known to be rash and arrogant, but he is secretly very compassionate and caring, which he mostly shows towards the monsters he captures. He loves his girlfriend and her daughter dearly.
