700 years ago, something happened on the planet of Neshga that wiped out any evidence of a civilized society. Now a threat has entered the planet with a plot to destroy what was going to be a golden age of peace between the 3 kingdoms of Neshga. Beledal's kingdom of Cora was the first to fall. Now he and the leader of the secret Coran army, Cohen, must warn the other kingdoms before the same fate comes to them. Can Beledal get to the kingdoms in time? Who or what is this threat? And how does this all relate to the event 700 years ago that nobody knows about? This is where your endeavor begins...
With about a dozen levels to explore, a few secrets, and over 10 hours of gameplay, Endeavor promises to entertain all the way to the very end... also there's a secret ending you can uncover by finding the secret charcter. Here's a clue:The need for sleep is not needed.....
I created the story, the maps, the characters, planned the music; Basically, I'm the only one who worked on this RPG (though I did take a few suggestions from people when I asked for advice). This is the sixth RPG I've ever created (if you call my first 3 attempts RPG's).
This is the first time I had a second overworld in my game too. I can't say any more than that for it could be a potential spoiler....

Over 2000 and growing. Thanks a lot everyone for your support. I'm done planning the maps and am now writing the script for the game. So far everything is falling together the way I want it so I'm getting pretty excited. So thanks again and more news will be coming as time goes by.

Thanks, UP for uploading a new version. I was having trouble getting through the gauntlet of enemies. For instance, the last two trees I was able to pass, but after more 100 tries and I close my eyes to do so! Having to fight, but at least pass the group instead of having to repeat the whole gauntlet is fairer than expecting somebody to pass without being touched! Even so, the frogs confused the hell out of me ...
With that change, I was actually able to beat the game! I look forward to the followup ..
And yes, I did manage to find your secrets, but losing the ability to save in the world map was too much to give up ...
Also, about the issue of battle balance against the enemies, I chose to run away from a lot of fights, if I thought it wasn't a favorable one. That was the case of group of enemies that had a lot of hit points or cause sleep on my group ... Meaning a lot of griding just to level up. For the others, I developed a battle strategy based on the skills available to my characters to defeat them and still have a good level of HP and MP ...
In the end, I'll rate your game 3/5 (would have been 3.25 or 3.5 if available)! I hope you make an even better one next time ... Keep up the good work!

Not to mention part of the problem with the battle is that RpgMakerXp is so inflexible in that regard. I had enemies routinely 1hit-KO me in the game I made. And it was stuck with that dumb lufia style battle screen where characters just remove when they die. |

Ugh, I really don't like RpgMakerXP. RpgMakerXP's overrated, and with RpgMaker2k3 all I have to do is drag the RTP files over. With this, forget it, I dunno what to do to get it to open. It opens, then it closes (no error message). Next time, don't make the file this way. At least then I could load it directly from RpgmakerXP. |

Whoa!! 1500 downloads! Thanks a lot to all of you and your support, everyone! The sequel is well within the planning stage but I can't make any promises in terms of when production will actually begin. But I will keep y'all posted. ^_^ |
