STORY/SETTING
Story/Setting: The land of Ebon has seen it's share of wars, in Ancient times (000 - 850) It was the Celestean Empire that gained much of the Faloran Islands and the Shanard Coast, waging war and wining against many of they're rival countries, this war was known as the First Island War. It ended when times grew harsh for the Empire and the Economy was not stable enough for the large army and navy the Celestean Empire massed and destination grew. The government was eventually overthrown and several new countries rose from it's ashes. The Faloran Islands was given back to the people of Falora, and a loosely organized Island State Republic grew. To the Far East it was the Alenticean Magistrate, a Monarchy, to the North East, the Kingdom of Noa which was a Free Republic City States. To the South of Alenticea lay the Uncharted Shanard Coastal Plains, which was home to many tribal people. To the Far East lay what remained of the Celestean Empire, though still referred to as an empire it lacked much of the power it use to hold. It's remaining Monarchs fighting in an endless civil war that still last's today. Finally Further South lay a rich land of economy and resource, the Merchant Kingdoms of Kursk.
During the year 863 many major and minor kingdoms and governments were allied in one protection packed or another, they did so mostly out of fear that another empire may rise up and invade. This was done with good intentions in mind, but as they say, the road to hell is paved with good intentions. All was needed was a simple spark, to spur yet another Island War. It was during this time that the Celestean Empire and Alenticea were allied together, and during the signing of the packed the much beloved Duke Wesin was murdered. It was latter found out that a small boy from Falora poisoned him just shortly after signing the protection packed because he did not want the two countries to be allied. This was all that was needed to launch a war on Falora. Of course Falora was allied with Noa and Noa was with Kursk and thus war with all major nations was at hand. The war lasted 10 long years, and in the end Alenticea and Celestean lost ground. There were war courts and it seemed that the courts were fixed. They charged Alenticea for starting the war (the first attack was ordered by Alenticea) and huge penalties, such as a large tax on goods from other countries and a war debt was placed upon them to pay to other countries that Alenticea had attacked.
The year is now 904 (Classical Era) and a new king has put himself into power in Alenticea, he renamed the country as the Alenticean Empire. He stopped debt by citing that the courts were rigged in the first place and refused to pay the debt placed upon his people. To inspire pride among Alenticean people, he built a huge modern (Modern for the time mind you) army using new concepts and new technology recently discovered. As the Empire the new king built grew, so to did the territory he took. He ordered his generals to retake the Coastal cities that were lost in the previous war, and stated that it belonged to the people of Alenticea, not some puppet government. It was at this time that other governments let him do as he pleased because they themselves grew tired of war. This was a mistake as the Empire went and invaded the Falora Islands, this was the final straw that sparked another Island War. It is here where we start our story, it is here where the world of Ebon's fate is decided. It all rest's in the hands of one man, who is running from himself.

Oddly enough, it took awhile to get over 4000 downloads for me... It's been out over a year or two and I've added some new downloads over the years too. |

I don't see a problem with writing you own review. I might do it myself, just to get out of the 0.0 deal that seems to be plaguing mine.
As for the 4000 downloads, that's probably a glitch. I got something like that within my first 5 minutes of upload, which could be no means happen, and I don't think by that point I even had the link properly done so that downloads would work. I'm going to check out your game and rate it. Would you do me a favor and rate my game (so far)? |

And link fixed... odd... over 4000 downloads, and no one has even bothered to review it. You see what I mean people, if you don't like my review, write one yourselves. Of course that means you'd actually have to play the game instead of trying to rip it for resources then suddenly find out what a pain they are to map with. |

To Obsorber and anyone else who complains READ HERE!
Get over it, this was back in the day before there was an official review thread. Way back when we had reviewers that did, absolutely nothing. Litteraly, I would ask, beg, plead, bribe, not one review. Never mind the fact that the game was downloaded over 500 times. Never mind the fact that everyone on RRR told me they liked it. Not one person, bothered to review it. So, being a little pissed off, not only did I complain to the admins that be, but I reviewed it myself. By the by, the game DID get officially reviewed, (finally) and it got about the same score I gave it. Look for thread in official reviewers threads, you'll find it.
So before you judge me, which you did, maybe you should get some facts about what it was like before we had an official reviewer thread. Find out how fun of a time that was. So, again, get over it.

I have run into the bug where the game "freezes" after you cross the bridge for the first time *shortly after raven joins your party*. It is actually not accurate to say the game freezes since technically it doesn't *the 2 children keep running around and around the building*. But i am unable to do anything or move at all. And another copy of kain moves down a step from where the 4 are positioned. Also ran into the minor bug of you could still find the blond girl in her room *sorry can't remember her name for the moment* when she was supposed to be at the pear before she rejoined you *this is at the point before you step outside the bar and join up with raven* |

It can't download the lzh file this is an unofficial bug that enterbrain has not recognised the same happens to all lzh files. Additionaly if anyone manages to download your project and setup it, the game still requires the RTP installation this is an official Bug that Enterbrain has recognised and.... nothing happened..... :( |

Yep, cause at the time I had over 500 downloads on this game and no one would submit a review, I even BEGGED reviewers to submit a review. No one would, so submit a review or don't, do not give me gripe about it. I did all I could before I went crazy and submited a review myself. Take it up with the reviewers if you want. |
