Dual dreams is a real time RPG being made in Game Maker.
Dual Dreams follows the escapades of a jovial young man(and also manly! Yes, this main character isn't a metrosexual!) named Chase Norman. This green haired man lives in a city named Erosion, which is a center of political strife in the world. You see, this city is a colony of a larger kingdom, named the Retme Dynasty. This Retme Dynasty is very imperialistic and has essentially conquered the entire world. This has been the case for a while. However, the recent king promotes this religion called Alocerism. What Alocerism is, is the worship of a divine being that is believed to create this world. It teaches that God is the devil, and while He preaches good things, He will ultimately lead to one's destruction. This, of course, is in direct opposition to the traditional religion of the land that worships God. That being said, when the new Retme king started punishing those opposed to Alocerism with tax hikes and the like, they rebelled.
Which, brings us back to Erosion. This recent incident has created two parties in Erosion: a city militia that believes they should fight for independence composed of traditional believers and people opposed to the tax hikes, and a group of conservative tories who consist of Alocer followers, traditionalists whom believe the king was put in by God and they should grin and bear the suffering, and general loyalist. Chase was a member of the rebellion, although his motives didn't seem religious or political. However, when leadership changes in the party started up, he quit, because one of the new leaders hated him(FORESHADOWING!). And so, he hanged around Erosion for a while. He didn't seem to mind the political uproar, though. But soon, for some mysterious reason, he decided to suddenly leave. Few knew about this and people were confused.
And so, that brings us to Chase at this moment. He's in Istok, a desert town south of Erosion. He was looking for a job in a local bar, when a mercenary named Maxime decided to pick him up as an apprentice. We now join in as Chase and Maxime run off on missions for money, but soon find themselves in something much deeper than money.
