Introduction

Hello, fellow community members, Ladies, gentlemen, and the not so gentlemen. I have been tasked with recruiting for Digital Hijinks. What is Digital Hijinks, you say? It is, and can be, many things, on top of being an independent game development team. I know, you guys have probably heard this load of garbage time after time, and I can relate. Teams get started, and very few ever manage to release a game, let alone release a sucessful one. I, and others, have been working for three years to get this up and running, and we are finally almost there. Now we just need a more complete team to fill in the holes. We already have some projects started in the background, and need some help getting something out there. This, is where you come in. The many fields below are the seats that are currently open. These positions can and hopefully will be paid positions, once we get something out on the market.

Programming & Design

This is my specific field, but we are looking for one or two more interesting and unique individuals
for sparking ideas and concepts. Should be able to have an open mind, and a big imagination.

Audio
The ones who bring the game to life. Audio Staff should be able to produce any or all of the following;

Background Music
Sound Effects

Would need to provide audio in the following formats;

.wav
.mp3
.midi

And have loopable and non-loopable versions of background music
(Total of 6 for music, 3 for sound effects)

Graphics & Concept Art

GCA staff are the ones who draw, paint, sprite, create, and make the game world shine.
Your job could include any or all(Specify) of the following;

Character busts
Backgrounds
Artwork
Spriting

Social Media Staff

The team that gets the latest information out there, for the world to see. It takes enough time
to pull games together, let alone keep everyone up to date. Prerequisites for an application
for being a part of the Social Media Staff include having a decent amount of knowledge and
experience using any or all of the following;

Twitter (Used for updates/ bug reports/ hotfixes)
Facebook (Used for updates/ bug reports/ hotfixes)
Youtube (Posting associated video content, i.e. trailers, teasers, gameplay, etc.)
Blogging (Used for updates/ bug reports/ hotfixes, assorted shenanigans)
Game Recording (Recording gameplay, using computer software, i.e. CamStudio)

All Staff

Qualities of a productive team member;

Gets along with others
Is willing to meet at least once a week
Has a positive attitude
Is able to make deadlines (Deadlines are flexible, they aren't a life or death thing.)
Access to Skype (Comes pre-installed on all modern computers, I believe)

If you think you fit the job, by all means, send in an app.

*Compensation will likely be a percentage of the studio's total income, but we won't have
a definite answer as to just how much till we get closer to a release. we will discuss specifics in the future.

Applications
Please send these to me either via PM, or E-Mail. If you post it in the thread, we won't consider it.
(Feel free to post other on-topic things, such as any questions you may have.) All fields are required,
and list several references if available.
(Whoops, kinda hard to send via e-mail without one. E-mail apps to digitalhijinksstudio@gmail.com)

Update

To Clear up some of the possible confusion over this;

Digital Hijinks is the name of the game development studio I work with. I had a topic
up not to long ago about some beta testing I was doing, and accidentally made it seem
like it was the name of the game. (The team was having some confusion over this as well.)
That project was meant to be a 'test' to see what some different things we could do
with the technology, and see where we stood. I'm glad to inform you that it came out
fruitful. So far, projects are unnamed. But yes, the team's name is Digital Hijinks, not a game.

Hope this clears up any questions you might have over this.
