If it ever does come into fruition, would you back it? If it does I have a thousand dollars waiting for them.

Ive never heard of the series. But $1000? O.O it did get good reviews though.

For me... Im a cheap person so i doubt i would ever back anything unless it was a part of my soul or something LOL. XD plus idk, i kinda see Kickstart as a scam. Even the first time i heard of it, i wasnt very fond of it.

I actually thought the game was Chinese at first lol. But it does involve China and specifically, Hong Kong, so that makes me a fan. O_O o_o ._. o_o O_O
Hmm. Maybe i can get Shenmue 1 + 2 so i can check it out myself, i like what im learning about it haha.

Wow, lol. Have you read the comments on that site?
Can't really take it seriously when comments like those are permitted. =\

Shenmue was a VERY interesting idea and game, all the more it makes me wonder why they are having a problem making a 3rd one, a good series should not even be in a place like this, this makes me want to stay away from it like the plague!

It is because those company executives etc are too focused to their graphs instead of if game was actually good. Psychonauts for example was very successful game in sense of quality, but it didn't sell that well until like about decade later. Howevever Double Fine would happily make a sequel if someone pays them to do it. However good luck convincing investors to give over ten million dollars to make their dream happen.

A company will never go by if it's popular, Shenmue wasn't popular when it was originally released but became popular later on. It was a great game and I absolutely loved it when I popped it into my dreamcast back in the day ( I skipped a lot of school because of this game )

Honestly I don't want to see fancy 3D graphics for this game, update the Shenmue II engine so it doesn't look totally pixelated but will feel like hey "we had this done for ages and releasing it now" Duke Nukem was delayed so much because of the graphics... graphics do not mean it will be a great game, you could have the best graphics in the world but be a shitty game.

I already spent the $1000 on bills laugh.gif

wait up, Kickstarter being a scam? :/ idk about that, Star Citizen got lots of its funding from Kickstarter and it's legit.
haven't played this game, is it kind of like Sleeping Dogs? and shizzle those ratings are good. o:

Kickstarter is a good advertisement platform. It is pretty much half of the reason besides funding. I hardly would call it as a scamming. Granted I have spent quite a bit money to random projects due the hype over at Kickstarter.

Haha; i just meant that its not hard to get lots of money and use it for non production-related reasons.

: p
U know what i mean.
