Full Version: Animations Under Text Boxes, not on Top of Them?

Hi. I am making a Mario RPG (although it sounds unoriginal, it'll be very unique) with animated battlers. I wanted to make it similar to Pokemon Black and White. Each enemy and playable character has a state (like poison, stun, etc) with an animation that represents their battle sprite. EXAMPLE:

Each frame is drawn on Paint SAI.

However, during battle, the animations overlap the text box. If you want to use items, the enemies cover the item names! So, how do you put the animations behind the text box?

Video example of the error:

Thanks.

What's the battle script you are using? I think it's an issue with the script itself.

Unfortunately the page is in Japanese and I'm not able to find out the script... if I could give a look at it, I could tell you where's the problem...

I have it in English. Here is the link: http://www.fileden.com/files/2008/10/3/212...l/CTB_113-e.doc

State animations normally do not overlap the text box, so surely the script has something to do with it. I looked through the script myself, but I am not good with scripts and codes and things like that. Please find the problem! :/
