The world of Magra was once governed by a god and a goddess. The goddess was a fair being, wanting people to learn by themselves while still watching over them. Her companion, on the other hand, repeatedly intervened in the lives of humans through miraculous acts – much to the goddess’ disapproval. He created a unique energy unaffected by natural laws which his people had later named “Melum.” At first, the people were happy to have received such a gift, but as the years passed, they begun to discover its limitless potential, and soon even used it against their loving protectors. Infuriated, the god unleashed a terror the opposite of his gift long ago. Seeing the suffering of her people, the goddess pleaded her companion to stop, but to no avail. The goddess’ only choice was to convince him through force. In the end, the goddess had died from their battle, but through her actions, the good left in the god ceased his actions. Unfortunately, the damage had already been done, and through his sorrow, the god disappeared without a trace.
No longer governed by the two gods, the people were exposed and left wanting after the destruction caused. Eventually, a war was waged for control of what was left of the world’s Melum. The war waged on for many years, but on one particular day, the world witnessed its chance for peace. A young girl, whose sickness threatened her aspiring life, stepped in the battlefield for her values and beliefs. In the war’s final moments, the young girl performed a song; a single but miraculous song that embodied her, along with many others’ wish for peace. These actions caused her condition to worsen to the point where only a few days remained in her life, but this sacrifice bore fruit. In the days to come, the nations finally agreed to a truce, and this truce also held a special meaning: Proof of the young girl’s life and actions. It wasn’t long before people suddenly discovered new sources of Melum scattered throughout the world. It was as though something was still watching over them. This symbolized a new beginning for the world, but with that fresh start came new challenges.
Many years later, the nations had flourished from their new found energy, but there were still people that tried to use this energy to satisfy only themselves. An organization had discovered a particular use of Melum – one that transforms a person’s psyche into a formidable power. This power was soon known as “Hymnia.” Along with this discovery, the organization decided to create facilities called “Reaches” to educate and train those that could use Melum for society’s good, and those that had the ability to wield Hymnia. In the midst of this peace, however, the negative entity unleashed by the god long ago was slowly but surely making its presence known.

The game takes place in the world of Magra. There are a total of five nations, each with their own region and Reach. Melum had become an essential part of the world's infrastructure, and thus plays a major part in the game along with its titular entity, Hymnia. Each region has its own unique characteristics which also affects the culture of its people and even the Reaches themselves.
Melum, which the game revolves around, is an energy that is theorized to "have a mind of its own." To be more specific, it doesn't follow natural laws to the book, but interacts with objects sometimes in a way that would leave scientists astounded as to how it was able to happen. Raw Melum comes in the form of tiny particles, that when infused in objects, analyze the object’s structure and sometimes augments it (e.g. Reinforcing walls/foundations with an additional layer, amplifying the strength of magnets). The process of infusing Melum, however, produces a certain gas that, while not particularly harmful, may become hazardous if too much is produced. According to recent studies, this energy merely exists to complement objects and nature through augmentation.
Hymnia is the physical manifestation of Melum through an individual. Instead of directly infusing the energy within a person, it is first put into an object of considerable value to the subject. Melum uses that object to look into the person and see whether or not he/she would be worthy. A person capable of wielding Hymnia gains the ability to manipulate Melum in various ways.
Tech-types are Hymnia users that are able to manipulate nature and bend its laws through Melum. Each user, however, is limited in what he/she can do such as being locked to a single element. That being the case, users under this type are still powerful due to the extent of their control (e.g. complete manipulation of flame that can even solidify the carbon from its smoke and use it as a shield)
Arc-types do not have the ability to bend nature to their will, but instead attack by directly lashing out Melum energy at their targets. The user's mind and creativity comes into play here, as the form of the Melum unleashed depends entirely on him/her.

Music plays somewhat of a key role in this game, so I've been composing orchestral, orchestral rock and even vocal tracks (to be sung by a friend of mine). I have another friend whose helped me out in this part, particularly in the boss battle theme.
Main Title - 30 second piano sample of the main title theme
First Battle Theme
First Dungeon Theme
Boss Battle Theme - One of the decisive battle themes. Guitar played by Kieran Zane-tan Roberts
"Prime of Youth" - Chill theme. Played during casual scenes.
"Moving Forward" - Victory theme

FEATURES
- Custom soundtrack and artwork
- Side-view battle system (using victor sant's animated battlers) with custom sprites (not yet implemented)

I'd been working on this game for quite awhile by myself in order to get the hang of doing different aspects of the game's creation, but I think it's time I went looking for a team. These are the following things I'd appreciate assistance in:
SPRITE ARTIST: Someone who can make custom sprites for walking, poses, and battle (which involves attack, defense and skill animations)
GRAPHIC ARTIST: While I have been doing portrait art myself, I'd like to work with someone who could color these portraits as my coloring skills...well...they're just...bleh lol
SCRIPTER (RGSS3): The game uses the VX ACE engine, and I'd like someone who could customize scripts or help explain to me (And my abysmal scripting ability) how I could get scripts to work the way I'd like them to work.
DEMO COMING SOON!
