(edit)A new pokemon game called Pokemon X and Y is scheduled to be realeased worldwide sometime in october
The 3 starters are fenniken(fire), which is the fox below,froakie(water),thefrog, and chespin(the hedgehog?). There will be an updated battle camera similar to poke stadium and the game will be in 3d.
I also have some new leaked info on pokemon x and y in the pics on my last post. Check it out if youare interested. (And no I dont do the leaks. I just find these leaks on other forums and websites and take screen shots of them.)

Ugh i dont have a 3DS though. Even still, i would rly love to try this game-- same w/ pokemon mystery dungeon maybe, i havent checked out the new/ newer ones yet, but i adored the first 2 gba ones.

I went from pokemon yellow to pokemon white... At least then I could point out the differences.

Pokemon is like iPods, iPhones, iPads, iToasters. Nothing dramatically changes until a few/lots of years.

They slow down the new features in order to milk the cow. Once people start loosing interest, BAM! A whole whack of updates and features and thus they get their customers back.

Ahh it doesnt matter to me. Just opinions after all. Though in my opinion the 5th and 4th gen. excep Heart gold and Soul silver SUCKS! At least this game is an improvement in graphics. But why do they stick with that stupid battle system?

Haha, exactly, i completely agree. I never bought into the new generations, except for heart gold and white version. Even then, i only got white version cuz my sister kept telling me to get it and i have yet to beat the game. :/

Nah but srsly, if u mean the new 3-D one, imo it looks fantastic, although im not sure what to think of it at the same time. It kinda looks like.. It would get annoying after awhile, and it kinda makes it look like some sort of fighting game tbh, haha.

Although the game itself does look better, I think they have "Milked" the cow so long there cow now looks like my attachment.(image shack was frozen or something.)

It feels too soon for a new gen of Pokemon, wasn't the original Black and White out just two years ago? The 3D battles look sick though, I just hope you can change the appearance of your damn trainer.

What's funny is that the 3DS was already released by the time Black and White came out, yet it still wasn't a fully 3D game.

I think its okay but those distinct circle shapes where the pokemon are on during battle. They have annoyed me since the beginning! Why gamefreak do you do that! On Pokemon stadium it didnt have circle things! (I love stadium by the way.)


It wouldve been 50X better if gamefreack 1wasnt afraid of cbange 2if they didnt waste there time on the 4thgen.(except heart gold and soulsilver) and the 5th.I wonder what it would be like if pokemon was by another developer like say squarecenix.

Same as me. I played black version to see if it was somthin new but bleh. I played pearl. bleeeeeh! Damn that game sucked! Platinum was a bit better but... My faves though were emerald,soulsilver,and every N64 pokemon game.So yeah Its about time they have a 3d pokemon game.

He has the same color palette. So yeah. Not very good of Ken Sugimori.

I didnt think Ken Sugimori was still the artist for pokemon. : O unless maybe he is still, but have a ton of other assistants doing artwork too.


About the circles though, lmao, yea, they annoyed me a lot too! When i first saw them i was thinking whatdahell.

Whatever they put in though, I think the time when pokemon was flat and pixelated/ simple was rly its prime and i miss it. : s Especially the pokemon designs-- theres just something different about them from the old ones.

also notice that he looks kinda idunno incomplete? And his face is HUGE! I took a look at the npcs and female character and they were just right. One more thing about him is that he looks kinda gay lookin up close. This makes me misss Brendon more then ever.


I wish they ditched gymleaders as the main story and idunoo did somthing else for main story. For this reason Bravo XD gale of darkness and Colosseum for ther story. So to summarize it This game would be the bomb if it had:XD style main story with gyleaders as secondary story,character customization,GET RID OF CIRCLES,return of Brendon,able to visit other regions via boator plane,hmmm how does a CAR sown gamefreak,better surf animation and fly animation,that part of girl following male char lokks promising of a catipillar system,stop making paired games and make a single game GAMEFREAK! Hmmm cant think of anything else right now...

Ken has being doing every pokemon design to date. I'd say the reason for the changes is due to both the evolution of his artistic ability and the evolution of technology. Pokemon designs in the old days were heavily simplified due to the fact that the game boy could only display so much information, but as the handheld technology progressed, Ken was given a lot more freedom to add details. Pokemon it's still a pretty simplified style when you look at it in depth, though the newer ones definitely stand out compared to older designs.


They kind of already did this with Black and White, giving a bit more focus to Team Plasma than with other gens, but otherwise, it wouldn't really be Pokemon if you didn't have gyms.

Pokemon is a bit like Dragon Quest. The series is at a point were it has a legacy, and the type of stuff that's within the game right now make Pokemon what it is. If there were too many changes, then how will it be Pokemon? They at least differed the game from other RPGs with the stat system overall they did with Ruby and Sapphire.

I wonder what balance changes are going to be made with the 6th gen? As in changes to abilities/moves/new moves/etc.? I hope they finally figure out a way to make Ice type Pokemon not suck.

I found a leak with the starters evo names(there is no leaked image of how they look though.), the region name(cant spell it but it is in pics below) and leaked names of a few of the other pokemon. Hmm. My (chinese) character literacy is terrible, so all i can read is the month and year in the letters under the huge X and Y game names; it says october 2010 edit: 2013. And... something about being good/ happy in the box beside the date/ X Y names, in the tiny, red banner below the pokemon. i am prolly very off though lol cuz i only read one character from the sentence in the red banner. : D

I tried asking my mom, but she couldnt rly understand much either. i think its because some characters between chinese and japanese are read differently + she didnt have her glasses lol.


I have a part japanese friend who is perfectly fluent in japanese though and she will b able to understand it. Im seeing her this friday... Or wait, i can prolly just ask her tomorrow if i hopefully remember. Xp
