I have been making a game called DVP for a long time, it's a replica of the old Digimon digivice Ver. 1. I'm at the point of which I would like to make some mini-games to train your digimon, training your digimon will play a vital role in the game, so you will have to do it often. There are a few stats that you can train.

The Stats
Strength - The over all power of your digimon(punching bad)
Defense - basically how much damage your digimon can resist
Speed - how fast your digimon is.(Dodging obstacles) Thanks Shadowval

This isn't a RM game, its a Gamemaker game, so that's why I posted this here, also any help on this would be nice.

So to double check, what you are looking for is not only What kind of game to have, on the screen, but also the actually mini game the player will be performing to go along with it? Like banging drums and a rhythm mini-game for example? If that is the case then I have a few suggestions:

Speed: Dodge - Use the arrow keys to dodge projectiles, the higher you speed the faster the projectiles move

Defense: this is a bit tougher, perhaps the rhythm game idea? You have to jump rope and you have to push the button in rhythm or something?

Althought I may be able to code the dodge(speed) mini-game, the rhythm mini-game is way over my knowledge. Thanks for the feed back!
