What I need is basically in the description. I've searched all over, and I've found a few good SBS systems that work. However, after about 6 hours of gameplay (with much more going into programming) the game gets really stale. I was looking for some more script options, and I found this:

I implemented all of the scripts, and I am happy to say that they work famously, without ruining the game I already have programmed.

The battle system is lacking though. It's early dragon quest style: no view of your own characters, no visual damage (seeing the numbers drop from the enemies) and it leaves something to be desired.

My question is: Are there any other Yanfly fans out there that have a basic Side view battle system that they use, that is compatible with Yanfly?

Any help would be MUCH appreciated! biggrin.gif

There is a quite few choices I believe. One of more complex ones is.

You might need some compatibility patching however, thread makes references towards stuff like that.
