Rai Pager
Hello fellow RPG Makers.

How are ya'll? I go by Rai. I'm shy and a bit of a wimp so go easy on me. *hides under her desk*

I'm a fictional writer willing to learn how to make my own video games. I wanted to go to school to learn but that cost tons of money, then I found RPG Maker. Said it was so easy a child could do it. It may be true for some but it seems a bit limited if you asked me.

I've learned the basics (just in mapmaking, haven't moved on to scripting yet and something tells me it's gonna be a doozy) but I'm wanna learn if there's more that I can do like customize animations and sprites. I'm willing to learn if anyone's willing to teach. happy.gif

Thanks for listening and I hope I get to meet everyone here!

Look everyone, a noob! Get your sticks! cool.gif

Seriously though, welcome to RRR. I doubt you'll find a more friendly group of game developers anywhere on the net. It is always good to see a new developer, so if you ever need help with anything, don't hesitate to ask. We were all new once, so that means any questions you may have can be answered with only a little bit of sarcasm/. tongue.gif

Newbies are always welcome smile.gif
If you're willing to learn, our gates are open.

As regards scripting, eventing, developing... just ask and an answer will (sooner or later) come.
As Shadd mentioned, everyone here was incapable even of doing the simplest move route event in the beginning... so don't be afraid and feel free to ask about anything.

Welcome RRR smile.gif

No, no, no! She said "newb", not "noob". There is a difference, primarily this:

Noob (as quoted from my own game):
- "... a noob, also known as n00b, knows very little about lots of things, refuses to learn anything, and believes they know everything about nothing."

Newb:
- Newbs (spelled with ‘e-w’) are quite the opposite. Like noobs, they’re generally new to a lot of things, but unlike noobs, they have a desire to learn, engage and grow with the community, and eventually pass on their own traits to the next generation of gamers.

And to Rai, greetings, welcome to RRR, and don't mind us.
