In BoF3 (breath of fire 3), KOed characters occasionally come back to life in battle. I think this battle event page works very well, though it may have some unexpected effects like a %chance of kicking in every round or every battle.

Copy/Paste these battle events for every monster party unless you can figure out a way to do a common event, which I'm not going to bother figuring out.

You'll also have to turn off that switch. You might just turn it off whenever the party uses an inn or have a parallel process even for it on select maps.

Actually, because you have the span set to 'BATTLE' it will not activate more than once, so you don't actually even need the switch to prevent it. It will attempt to trigger once, even if he does not wake up. Otherwise the event looks fairly clean and simple, though if it only requires 50 to go off and the luck stat already affects it, then it is going to happen an awful lot at higher levels, you may keep that in mind as well.

Honestly with how you have this working, I would not have it be based on a stat at all and just any time they die they have a 1 in 50 chance or whatever you want to set it to, to stand back up. Perhaps you can have an item, that if equipped lowers the chance to like 1 in 30 or something, but aside from that it should work well with just a random chance.

As you've created this, you'd have to set it for each battle, within the troop screen. You can simply make a common event, which would be set up the same way, and have it call that common event whenever a party members hp reaches 0, but you will still have to set up that much on each troop.

I am not sure what you are wanting with this post. Are you just posting your idea and wanting feedback, or asking for assistance. Possibly could you add a small amount more information. Currently I am confused in what the point of this topic is?

If you are looking for advice, can you give more specific questions in what you want advice on. If this is just asking for Eventing help I'll move it into the Eventing Requests.

In regard to the idea, I like how it sounds on paper. More variables in battle is usually a good thing, though I could see myself getting frustrated having to sometimes rely on luck to beat a battle. If I'm fighting a boss and it's almost dead and I only have one character standing, I'd be screaming at the other character through my computer/TV "wake up you lazy f*&$s!" If my standing character is KOed, I'd be pissed knowing that if I had been luckier and one of the others had woken up I could have won.

Ah, the same abilities from some monsters in Monster Rancher, and also Ursula from the BoF IV, 'guts'..
And yes, thanks for the share... ^^

Actually, in BoF games, there is a stat called guts and in no.3 it's invisible. It doesn't work like normal stats do by increasing as you level up. I think it's fixed for each character or has to do with the number of fights you've been in. You could make such a stat with variables. You could also set this ability to work only if you have an item equipped or a status in place.
