I switched from manga style to semi-realistic, but I don't think it's good for RPGM..
Umm, the page seems to not fit when I'm going to insert another drawings, can anyone help me to fix it?
And thanks for the critics ^^

Homunculus
Wow, that's very awesome O: I don't know what your less realistic style is like, but I think this is pretty boss and you should deffs pursue it! And the magical thing about RPG Maker is that you can make any style work with it, just takes some determination and creativity. Both are something artists tend to have, so go for it X3
Ndoelicious
Thanks, Homunculus ^^
I tried to make a realistic faceset for RPGM but it looks weird, especially with all of the cartoonized char-sets that's been the trademark of RPGM itself :/
But yeah, I'm trying to improve and learn from the many pros at it. And hopefully for also providing people with rough sketches for their projects ^^
Many thanks~ smile.gif
X-M-O
I've resized it for you so it fits into the post quite nicely. happy.gif

I love the detail and the way you brought the character's imagination into her bedroom like that.
Seems she's been reading J.R.R. Tolkien's book and is visualising it. ^^

The one thing I'm not sure of, is if her head is leaning sideways against the wall or if she is just facing slightly sideways (because it just seems a little off-balance). Either way, it's not much of an error and still looks great. =]

I've love to see more works like this! It's very creative!
Ndoelicious
Where have you been? Preparing something for halloween? xD

Thanks for the resize, it helps a bunch~
She's a little bit facing to the right, overlooking the trees and the hills, so that's why her face is kinda weird for you and her hair looks a little thinner.. She's also drinking a zero-cola, and finished the Tolkien's best lol (you noticed that lol) ^^

Thanks for the critics, ma'am and thanks for overall reply smile.gif
Jonnie19
Wow. I don't think I can say much more, very impressive. smile.gif
Ndoelicious
Thanks, Jonnie19~
That really makes my day ^^

Ah, that makes sense. Was just confusing for me. XD

You're welcome. ^^

(I was out of town for the weekend, lol. I'm back now. ^^)

At least you noticed and that means you really do observe the drawing smile.gif

Ooh, going out of town? And I thought you're afraid of the outside world lol ^^
X-M-O
I do notice things in art! I don't always mention them though, lol. ^^
But yes, I do pay attention to detail in art. happy.gif

(Yes, but I was travelling with family, so it wasn't so bad. tongue.gif)

Aren't you a bit experienced on this? (I was gonna use 'pro' word, but you know, I haven't fully seen your observing techs so I might to save that word for the later) ^^,

And here again I thought you're living alone in your apartment, working on your major while having good rounds with the internet works smile.gif
Anyway, you do draw, right? I haven't see you do that in ages xD
X-M-O
I used to be a lot more involved in art, but things changed when it didn't pay the bills. =\
I haven't really drawn much of anything for a few years now... the last drawing was digital, and it was clear that I've not been in practice for a while. ><

Oh, I don't live in my apartment any more, because I can't afford it. So now I've moved back with my parents for a while. =\
I don't mind, really, but then I was trying to prove that I could be as independent as my brothers and that didn't work out that well...
I'm hoping to get a really great job this year, but things have been slow with that. We'll see though, I'm still optimistic! ^^
Ndoelicious
I've met someone who works on art, too. And yeah, it's pretty hard at first, since you need to 'gamble' to move on. Such as proviiding money for tablet-works and else.. If you're on semi/realistic arts, I think more people will interested, I mean, it's America. Such as domino-games, MMOs and many..unlike most Asian arts which focused on chibis and mangas.. :/

I'm sorry, I sound a bit rude for asking that.. sad.gif
Well that's the feel I got here in my house, too. Of 80 people, I'm in 1 of 4-5 people left in my college and mostly I failed in my class. When I tried to go for language faculty, mom and other family member said "That kind of works you get from that won't make enough money" and the same stuff happen at whatever major I was gonna pick except for engineering yet it isn't my wants lol..
Hey hey, I know you can do it. You're still 20ies, many awaits you in the future. Things might've not work for you for couple years or so, but at least you won't ruin the next 20 years of your life ^^
Magical_RuNE_Knight2001

Ahh, same thing with my family. >-<
When i was much younger and would tell my mother i was interested in an illustration career, she just got kinda quiet. Then she would tell me she didnt think it was good, better job, money, etc.

Also, yes about the art. >-< i would draw those sparkly large-eyed girls all day, but i know it would not do well here. .-.
Not to mention people often think its a bit odd.. .-.

lol aren't we all dealing with the same problem here? biggrin.gif
Wicked parents are wicked (sorry, mom) smile.gif
My friend who worked in a game company once told me that it pays well, but umm, there's so many competitors since we work in groups even in the same company :/

Large eyed? Ah I see, like the manga-manual eyeshaping, right? I once did that too, but since my sense of symmetrical is just flawed, I quit and do normal eye-ing ^^ It's not odd, it's cool! I envy those who could do stuffs like that T_T
Ndoelicious
Oh, and a new one... ^^
X-M-O
You understand anatomy rather well, and like the outfit! ^^
What is he wearing on his head? A bunny face? XD
Lato
Hm I have just read the first few posts but you are talking about size issues correct? I find that strange cause the image insert in ACE is very good I thought, when I add in a pic that is to big or small I just use the zoom feature and it gets it perfect for my game everytime. Have you not used this or are you using a differnt game engine? I think they should all have some sort of zoom feature.

It's just a standing pose. It's as easy as I draw myself standing in front of the mirror >.<
Mhmm, it's a Bunny hoodie, a meanie and eerie one lol ^^b
So, this one's a halloween themed, right?

Oh I'm sorry, I was trying to say that the image doesn't fit in this thread page, and not in RPGM~
Oh yeah, the engine works well..
I wonder if I could just use artworks as moving video... :/
X-M-O
Yes, I suppose you could consider it to be Halloween themed. happy.gif
I still want to see pumpkins though. tongue.gif
Ndoelicious
I know, pumpkins might work and spice things up a bit.
I've seen people posting sprites with pumpkin head as well ^^,

Oh and about that signature pic of yours...is that your doll? Cuz it's so cuuute!!!
X-M-O
I wish I could knit like that! O_O
Nope, it's not mine. I got it from online, but I put some stuffs together so that it ends up working as a single image. ^^
Ndoelicious
If you think yourself a woman, then knitting is a must *shot
I see, like the BG, right?

All I have in mind about pumpkins is the Blair witch~ :3
X-M-O
ohmy.gif
Just because I'm a lady, doesn't mean that I have to be able to knit. ><

Actually, the BG and the dolls are both from the same set of images, I just mixed them together. ^^

Yes! Do the Blair witch! =D
Ndoelicious
Eh? So you're saying that you only made that 'Happy Halloween RRR' ?? biggrin.gif

I'm gonna trying something other too though~ ^^
Prepare your eyes, miss X-M-O~
X-M-O
Yes, when I do my own signatures I will commonly just go with things that I already like instead of making new things. tongue.gif
I don't usually have the time to design completely original content, however when I make things for RRR (like banners/awards/etc.) they are usually completely original.
If I had more time, I would make loads of graphics just for the sake of it because it's one of the only things that I consider myself to be good at in visual art. D=

All right, you try whatever you think is best and I'll just have to wait and see. happy.gif
Ndoelicious
Aww, don't think low of yourself!
Every art is a masterpiece ^^,
Not everyone even know how to make things good with PS, like editing pics and others~

Oh and btw, your wish has been fulfilled ^^,
I add another 2 of drawings, and yeah...no boys...as usual biggrin.gif
Homunculus
Your lines are fabulous, they have so much movement. Very smooth. I like your style sir/ma'am *Hand shake* Definitely post more, I demand moar art.

I can't say nothing more than a heartful thanks ^^,
I love curves(every living guys do!) and lines, and since lines what makes the motion in the drawings ^^
I have some newer arts for the Halloween contest, I hope you'll like it smile.gif
*handshakes*
and..it's a Sir lol xD
Ndoelicious
It's been quiet for awhile..
Well, Adam and the Eve..

X-M-O
Resized for you. ^^

This is great! I love the detail on the "garden". happy.gif

I think both pictures look really good.

I love the detail and texture in your work but I feel for what makes up the detail theres a distinct lack of perspective (which I suck at anyways) and foreshortening. They're very artistic and abstract but the inclusion of humans calls critique.

Your anatomy is as mentioned very good but for your most recent picture how the grass has been drawn (lack of bulk and very short) it makes the characters appear shorter than they likely are. The female's anatomy specifically the direction of her head versus the angle of her body does not look correct and the arm placement in perspective should be lower. Adam looks very feminine and could do with some broader shoulders, thicker eyebrows and manlier eyes (but thats me).

Overall I would recommend working on your perspective. Otherwise I really like your detail.

Thank you, qyouqyou >.<

I just love details, which most will never want to touch since it's not even worth admired by the viewers..lol
I did google all of those plants, such as bellflower, red lilly, apple trees, and whatever there are in my garden, I draw them ^^

It's not it's short, but the boy is actually sitting, but not visible(see where his lower chest curved to the back?)
Hmm, thanks for your correction, but for the woman, it's actually a pic I've found earlier, so that's why I'm pretty sure it's correct lol ><
Yeah..the Adam...that's my biggest flaw. I was going to draw two women, but since it'll looks perverted, I had to change to 'Adam and the Eve' theme..which is too late since I've done the details T_T
sorry about that~

Sure, it's been only couple months since I study this kind of arts, your critics are very welcome ^^

Thanks on the usual resize...since whenever I tried to, it fails and the pic doesn't appear T_T
Garden of heaven...well, there's no such clothes on Heaven, right? ^^
Ndoelicious
Talking about zombies >w<
Here's another one : Walking Dead season!
X-M-O
Oh wow, very detailed and creepy! ohmy.gif
Excellent work. ^^
(What's "Rolling Stones" about?)
Ndoelicious
Cool, thanks ^^
Rolling Stones is umm..a band and also a famous music magazine ^^
Mick Jagger, don't you know him? xD
Ndoelicious

Finally have some times...Anyway, can I make you guys something as well? T-T

Hello! I like the semi-realism style you have going here. The amount of detail you put into the backgrounds of your pictures is very nice, and easily delineates itself from the foreground. The problem I see is that you have a lot of different perspectives going on at once! In the last picture you posted, for example, the bridges and the left side buildings indicate that we are looking up from the woman in front, but the building on the right implies that we're looking straight-sideways, and the temple behind her makes it look the perspective is going down! Learning about perspective and incorporating it into your work can make a really nice, cohesive picture. You have a lot of talent, but I think perspective will help you a lot!

Hahaha, I know I know..I didn't use any eraser and ruler so that's why I can't fix what I messed up. It was barely a drawing out of boredom before I went to sleep smile.gif
Thanks for telling me, I'll try to improve in my perspective anyway, I have a lot to learn. Thanks for coming by happy.gif
