Anyone of you who has ever played Eternal Darkness, that little obscure masterpiece of lovecraftian horror, will know what I'm talking about; as the "sanity" meter goes lower and lower, the player starts to experience increasinlgy disturbing stuff. Sometimes, when the sanity meter goes low enough, the interface itself may start to act up and scare the player in more ways than one.
Is there a way to simulate this using common events and variables? Or would a script be the best way to go for this?

I am pretty positive I can duplicate this with events, I realized this is in XP, I can make a demo in vx, but I no longer have XP. It should be pretty similar, so I'll write you up a tutorial. It may take a day or two.

Sure, I can include those in the tutorial. The tutorial itself will basically show you how to set it up, and a few of the effects, but you'll design a lot of those on your own, you will also want to create a sanity meter, as I'm a very shoddy artist and would not make it look nice.
