Hi, I hope I'm not OT but... In my game I wanna to create a future city, full of lights and shining stuff but... where can I start from?
I have only some spotted idea... I mean, I can take a Tileset, then erase some pixels and leave them transparent. Then, changing the hue of the panorama the city could have that shining effect but it uses an great amount of RAM...

It's quite easy..
If you have time, go search and download a flying vehicle or any transportation module, and make as if the city is flying above another part of the city or anything like it ^^

a bit late..
but you know. you can just use panorama mapping and add the lights and stuff to the image.

For Ndoelicious:
This is what I did several time but I found nothing smile.gif

For Tsureiyu:
Yeah, this can be great but... the image should be... too realistic for a game. I mean, if I use a photo of a real city (such as Tokio) and fill it with lights, the result should be great but... it's realistic. But that trick can work well smile.gif
Tsureiyu
whoops. I meant parallax mapping xD
In XP, just make a map using the editor, then use this

to save it as an image, then edit it in Photoshop/other programs you use. and add fancy lights and stuff xD

or if you're using VX then.

Mmh. I can have a try smile.gif

Maybe I could give you a sample of the map in my game~
What about that? But the game itself is not completed xD
It's not that modern...but, it looks, well, more sophisticated smile.gif
