"Waaahh~ that was great!" Erin let herself fall backwards, resting her head on the soft grass. "I am so full right now, a bit of training sure wouldn't hurt." She looked over at the blanket, they'd eaten all of the food. Well, it had been mostly her- Erin loved eating, too bad she was a mess at cooking. "So, tell me, Leon-kun. What do you have planned out for us?
"Wow, Eri, I knew you could eat a lot, but had no idea you could eat that much. I am completely full, I can't eat anything else." Koyuki blinked rapidly, trying to recover from the mental images of, how Erin had described, 'serious eating'. "Yeah, what're we gonna do now, Kyrin-kun?" Koyuki turned towards Leon, smiling. We look like little kids She thought, laughing on the inside.
Sep 22 2012, 07:07 PM
Leon stood up and stretched. "I've gotten a few ideas of how to train you both. Erin-Senpai, you have a major problem with direct attacking, there is no surprise in your attacks for the most part. I will be training you in Qiang which is a Chinese spear fighting technique, that would really add some ability to your fighting style."
He looks over at Koyuki and grins. "Koyuki-Senpai, you are a very ranged fighter and that can hurt your defenses. I will be training you in Sambo, a very defensive martial art that specializes in grabs and throws, it will work well with the style you already use."
Sep 23 2012, 12:29 AM
Qiang, huh? Erin thought, she'd never heard of it. She knew almost nothing of martial arts, she'd been too weak before she became a magi, and afterwards she was too ocused on trying to survive. "So" She said, tilting her head. "What are we gonna do?"
"Nice!" Koyuki said, getting up. "How are we gonna start?"
Sep 23 2012, 12:32 AM
Leon nodded and stepped forward. "This is going to take a lot of time, and I'm going to have to start off by teaching you individually, but I want you both to pay attention to everything I teach, as it will help you know how the other fights and that can make a big difference in battles." He went on to show Erin different ways to strike with her staff and several basic forms of Qiang style kung-fu, that would really help her skills. He also showed Koyuki several stances and throws as well as close range counter attacks that would help her out, even against a larger foe. He was so focused on teaching that he barely noticed as the red sky took over and the sun started to go down.
Sep 23 2012, 12:40 AM
Just as Erin was about to swing her spear once more, she lost her balance and dropped on the floor, breathing heavily. "I'm a... bit tired..." She said, trying to get up, but slipping and falling back in the ground. "Can we... take... a little break?" She asked, closing her eyes. She'd fall asleep easily, but scratched the grass to avoid so.
Koyuki dragged her feet to the tree, leaning on it and sliding to the ground. "I'm tired, too..." She yawned and put down her weapons. "Besides, it's getting late." She stretched out her arms "Maybe we should just go home?" She suggested, and saw Erin do something like a nod, resting in the grass.
Sep 23 2012, 12:44 AM
Leon threw his head back and laughed. "Well I guess I can't expect first timers to keep up with such a training regiment. It is late so we can stop for the day." He was putting on a brave face, but he was also really tired. "Are you able to walk? Should I get a cab or something?" He smiled as he sat down on the grass. He might be tired, but he had a lot more stamina and was used to this kind of work out.
Sep 23 2012, 12:56 AM
"No, I'm fine, I can get home by myself." Erin got up, walking slowly. "I might take a bit to get there, though." She yawned, her legs were hurting a bit. And her arms. And just about the rest of her body. She looked at the sunset, it was strangely warm for a fall evening.
Koyuki got up as well. "Don't overdo it, Eri." She was a bit less tired than Erin, and walked a bit faster. "Well, I'm going home, see you later, kids!" She ran off, down the hill, heading to her home.
Sep 23 2012, 12:58 AM
Leon smirked a bit. What are you plotting Koyuki-Senpai? You left awfully fast. Leon shrugged, expecting a made up response or maybe even none at all. She could easily claim she was too far away, but he knew better. "I'll walk you home, Erin-Senpai. You can lean on me if you need to." He quickly gathered up the remains of their feast and stretched. "I'm sorry if I pushed you too hard, I have this tendency to get too into something if I am interested in it." He stepped up next to her. "Well, shall we go?"
Sep 23 2012, 01:09 AM
Erin put an arm around Leon and yawned. "Yes, let's... I'm so tired." They began to walk. "Hey, where'd Koyu go? She disappeared awfully fast." Erin looked around, she couldn't see Koyuki anywhere anymore. That wasn't a good sign, she had to be up to something. "Oh, well, she's probably just gonna lock herself somewhere and do research, I don't understand why that girl likes research so much." She sighed, reminding herself on how much time Koyuki spent locked herself in a dark room doing research on witches, even though most of times Erin didn't know to what end. She supposed Koyuki just liked gathering information and analyzing it.
Sep 23 2012, 01:11 AM
Leon smiled and shifted his walking weight to allow Erin to lean on him. "I'm not sure either, we will have to break her of that habit, she's going to just have to get used to being more social around us." He looked up at the sky as the sun slowly began to settle between the horizon. "It's amazing to think that so many people in this world don't realize what we do, they think tragedy happens for no reason, that it is just fate. If only we could show them the truth, you know?"
Sep 23 2012, 01:19 AM
"I don't know, what do you think people might think of us? There would be those thinking we were heroes, but what if we failed? The blames would instantly be put on us, and that could lead to us dying faster. And maybe there would also be those who hated us because they would think we only fought to save ourselves. And who says people wouldn't think we're crazy?" Erin said, rubbing an eye. "I like it better like this. I'm sure that if people knew, they'd try to help us, and that could get them killed." She yawned, thinking of everything that could happen if they took a non-magi into a witch barrier.
Sep 23 2012, 01:22 AM
Leon didn't need to think about it, she was right, of course. He wanted her to be wrong, he wanted people to know, but that was just his selfish side, even if he justified it as letting people know to not make wishes, it was still him wanting to be a hero. It did not take long for them to reach her house in that manner. By this point Leon himself was starting to get tired and he was glad that his house was not far away. He smiled and helped Erin over to her fence. "Can you go in the front door this time? I don't see you making it in the window." He said with a smile.
Sep 23 2012, 03:07 AM
"Yes, yes, I will be fine." Erin nodded. She slowly walked back to her home. "I'll see you tomorrow, Leon-kun." She opened the heavy door of the building, giving Leon one last wave. She got in and yawned, slowly climbing the stairs one by one.
When she got home, she dropped on her bed instantly, and fell asleep immediatly. She could've sworn she saw a pair of multi-colored eyes watching her in the darkness, but that was probably just because she was tired.
Sep 23 2012, 09:17 AM
Leon grinned as he walked away, he sometimes forgot that everyone was just high school students. He turned down the road and headed home, it didn't take him long to stand in front of the ruins. "Oh....right...." He had completely forgotten they were smashed up by his transformation back to normal. He sighed and stepped up to the rubble. Several people had already picked through it and several things were missing. It didn't matter really, they were not important.
He picked through the rubble, wondering if it was still there. He had to move aside several heavy pieces of the roof and some of it even required a bit of magic, but eventually he found it. He reached into the dirt and pulled out a small silver necklace, it was nothing special, even the pendant had no designs on it. he wrapped it around his hands and sighed, it was all he really needed, but it was still a shame to lose everything. He started to walk away and pulled out his cell phone, he dialed a number and waited for someone on the other end to pick up. "Dad....we need to talk...."
Sep 23 2012, 09:40 AM
Erin woke up when her phone began to play a soft melody. She sat up and yawned, she'd set the alarm clock so she wouldn't oversleep, she was going to the theme park with Leon after all. Stretching her arms, she got up and instantly began to dig through her closet.
Looks bad on me, doesn't fit, too warm, too cold, unfashionable, has a hole... She thought as she kept tossing clothing to her bed. After a while like that, she finally found what she was looking for: a black and beige striped shirt. It was warm and comfortable, and only half-sleeve. Perfect for the fall weather. She picked up her favourite pair of jeans and got dressed.
Instead of her usual braid, Erin chose to make a high ponytail, with a beige hair ribbon. She took a bunch of bracelets, a watch, and her Mockingjay necklace, which had been very hard to get.
And she was done! After just... an hour?! When had an hour passed by?! Erin said goodbye to her family and ran down the stairs, towards Leon's... no, Koyuki's place.
Koyuki was walking in a flowery meadow, with her shoe by her side. They were casually strolling, picking flowers and apples. Everything was going perfectly, at least until a noise echoed and the ground began to crack. Koyuki tried to grab her shoe, but it was too late, it had fallen down the crack, into the magma below. The noise continued to sound, and Koyuki ran and ran and ran, but she couldn't flee, eventually it...
...woke her up. She had fallen from her bed and was lying on the ground. Someone was annoyingly ringing the bell. She got up and shook her head, to definitely wake up. Could Leon be at the door? No, he'd arrived the night before. It was probably Erin. Koyuki grumbled and walked to the door. "Alright, alright, I'm coming...!"
Sep 23 2012, 09:52 AM
Leon left the clothing store with his school uniform in a bag. He had to go out and buy a new outfit, everything else of his was destroyed. He thought he looked pretty nice, it was casual of course, this was just two friends hanging out, but he still felt like he should look nice for it. He was wearing a black button up shirt over a red t-shirt, and wearing a pair of pressed black slacks. He had even gotten some new shoes as his tennis shoes did not really fit with this outfit.
Leon shrugged and started heading back to Koyuki-Senpai's house, if his timing was right, then Erin-Senpai should be just on her way over. He really hoped he wasn't running behind and she was already there or something silly. He stopped for a moment, why was he so worried about stupid stuff like that? Erin-Senpai would wait for him, they were friends, right?
Sep 23 2012, 10:01 AM
"ERI!" Koyuki yelled, opening the door and pulling Erin inside. "Did you really have to ring that much? Repeatedly? And break my sweet dreams of shoes?!" She scolded, examining her friend. "Hey, what's with your weird necklace?" She asked, getting closer to it. It looked like a... bird picking up an arrow? "Whatever. Probably a reference to something I don't know. Or you're just weird!" She nodded. "Are you here because of Kyrin-kun? He left a while ago to go to a clothes shop, since all he had was his school uniform. He probably shouldn't take too long, though." She explained, telling her to sit down somewhere and walking back to bed.
"It's just a reference you don't understand, Koyu. Yet." Erin pushed her glasses up, and walked to the living room. She sat on the couch and looked out the window. The sky was bright blue with no clouds, yet there was a chilly breeze passing by. It wasn't noticeable- all Erin could see from that window were tall Mitakihara buildings. She was dreaming of her shoe? Erin thought, laughing on the inside. Typical of Koyu. I wonder if Leon-kun'll take long...? She stroked her ponytail and tied up her sneakers, that had gotten untied mysteriously.
Sep 23 2012, 10:06 AM
It took Leon longer to get back than he was used to. He did not want to dirty up his new clothes for some reason and so he took the normal route of walking back through town. It took him nearly twenty minutes to make it back to Koyuki-Senpai's place. He walked up to the door and was presented with a moral dilemma. It was probably the biggest decision he had to make in the past few days. Did he knock or just walk in? Which would be accepted and which would be considered really strange?
He stood outside for nearly five minutes debating this, before he finally decided to just knock. It was still a girls house and he did not want to walk in on anything he shouldn't see. After knocking he just stood there awkwardly staring at the door and waiting. How had he gotten so timid about things? It was probably the cultural difference, in America he would have known to just walk in if he was staying there.
Sep 23 2012, 10:12 AM
Erin heard someone knock and started to the run towards the door, stopping herself halfway. Why am I acting like this? Stay cool, Erin. Stay cool. She told herself, walking towards the door. She opened it and saw Leon-kun standing outside. He looked really cool. Erin could feel herself blushing a bit. "Oh, hi Leon-kun!" She said. "Do you wanna come in or are we leaving already?" She asked, tilting her head.
Koyuki heard someone knock at the door. "And so the plan begins..." She smirked and got up silently. She put on some simple clothes- just some jeans, a shirt and blazer, with a ton of accessories of course- and waited. She was waiting until they left. She'd follow them, and carry out her plan... whatever it was.
Sep 23 2012, 10:19 AM
Leon smiled when Erin-Senpai opened the door. He was actually at a loss for words after seeing her, even his natural charm was stunted. "Uh....hi Erin-Senpai, you look....nice." He said, turning just a little bit red. What was wrong with him? He felt foolish. "I actually have to drop off my uniform first, and then we can leave." He smiled as he stepped passed Erin and looked at Koyuki-Senpai. "I got you something, Koyuki-Senpai." He said pulling a small box out of his bag. "I hope I got your size." He handed the box to her, it was a pair of nice shoes, good for walking a long time. "I don't know why, but I thought you might need them today." He said with a grin, sometimes it seemed like he knew more than he should. He set down the bag of clothes next to the shoe area and turned around. "Ok, let's go, Erin-Senpai. I don't know where the theme park is."
Sep 23 2012, 11:19 AM
Erin giggled and her cheeks heated up a bit more. "Thank you, Leon-kun, you look very cool too!" She said, turning backwards when Leon passed her by. Somewhere deep inside her, she felt a feeling of accomplishment. Why was she so happy all of a sudden? Was she happy because she had made an impression? A thought crossed her mind, but she shook it off. It was impossible... Right?
"Oh! Shoes! Thank you Kyrin-kun!" Koyuki jumped happily and clapped, as if she was just a little kid. She looked at the shoes closely, they were the kind that were great for long walks, flat and comfortable. Koyuki looked at her own feet, she was wearing a pair of heels. Had she been wearing them the whole time? She wasn't sure, she had probably just picked the first shoes she'd seen.
"You know, this is my 300th pair of shoes!" She said, grinning. They were perfect for the mission she would undertake today.
Sep 23 2012, 11:25 AM
Leon laughed at Koyuki-Senpai, he knew how to please this girl already. He reached down and took Erin's arm in his hand. "Come on then, Senpai. The day is wasting!" He grinned at her and headed out the door. "We are going to have to take the bus, it's a bit of a distance away, I think." He started walking down the road to the nearest public bus stop. For some reason he was just a little giddy, he couldn't really explain it, it was almost like battle nerves, but somehow....scarier. What was wrong with him?
Sep 23 2012, 11:44 AM
"Yes, we have to catch the bus!" Erin smiled with a kind of happiness that was rare on her. "The park is outside of town, actually, because it takes up quite a lot of space!" She slid her arm through Leon's hand and held it, as a sudden wave of anxiety ran through her. The thought she had earlier came back, but once again she shook it off, she was probably just being an idiot.
Erin spotted a bus stop not very far from where they were standing. "Look, a bus stop!" She said, recognizing it as line 2, that connected Mitakihara center with the theme park.
Koyuki waited a few minutes before going up to the roof to know when she could leave to the theme park. She looked at Leon and Erin, they were heading to a line 2 bus stop. At least it used to be a line 2. She sighed and watched them, once they'd left she'd go right after.
Sep 23 2012, 11:49 AM
A shiver ran down Leon's spine when Erin grabbed his hand. He did not know why, it was not his sense for danger, that was a different sensation. He stood and waited for the bus with her, and kind of got lost in thought. He had this feeling before, but he could not remember when. Somewhere in the fog of his memory he vaguely remembered a class room....standing in front of everyone. What was it? This feeling? He would have to figure it out later, since they were in no danger it did not matter.
He looked down at Erin, she was actually really cute with a pony tail. "I bet you are looking forward to the theme park food, huh?" He said with a bit of a grin. He was pretty sure teasing her was not the best course of action, but he was running on instincts here, the strange sensation was messing with his cool guy factor and he didn't like it.
Sep 23 2012, 12:25 PM
Erin puffed up her cheeks. "Yeah, I love the theme park food!" She said and pouted. "Just like... Almost any food at all?" She laughed a bit, scratching her cheek. "I do eat anything, don't I...?" She shook her head, smiling at herself, and looking at her feet. She was still feeling anxious and worried, even though she did not know why.
"Oh, the bus!" Erin said a few moments of strange silence later, spotting the vehicle down the road.
Sep 23 2012, 12:29 PM
Leon was actually rather glad to see the bus, the silence was killing him. They boarded the bus, he paid for both passes, like a gentleman. Wait, why had he done that? It's not like this was a date....right? Right! This was just two friends hanging out on some much deserved free time. He sat down near the window, and smiled at Erin-Senpai as she sat down. He still did not really know what to say, he had a feeling this would be a painfully awkward bus ride.
Sep 23 2012, 12:43 PM
Erin sat down and smiled back at Leon. It seemed this was all they did, smile at each other. She desperately tried to find something for them to talk about. And no, not the weather.
"So..." Erin started a few minutes after. "Do you like the Harry Potter series, Leon-kun?" She asked, noticing they knew almost nothing about each other's likes and dislikes.
Just as Koyuki saw the bus leave her line of sight, she jumped off the building and started walking to the theme park. She wasn't in a big rush, besides if she got there too quickly they might spot her. She kept up a quick step, sometimes hopping like a kid.
Sep 23 2012, 12:47 PM
Leon thought back to when the last time he had a chance to just read a book was. It was probably two years ago, and as it turned out it was actually one of the Harry Potter books. "I like them, but I haven't had a chance to finish them." He said looking away. "I've been really busy, for a long time now." He sighed and looked back at her. "This is actually the first time I've had a chance to relax in a long time. When I became a magi, I was convinced I was the only one and that I would have no time for myself, I had even considered dropping out of school....."
Sep 23 2012, 01:02 PM
"Oh, nice, if you want to finish them I can let you borrow mine, I have the whole collection." Erin grinned and looked out the window. "Well, you don't have to worry about that so much now, you're not alone! You have me..." Erin stopped for a moment. "And Koyu!" She quickly added, blushing unnoticeably. "We can have some free time, once in a while, when there is no danger." She smiled again, looking at the window, and noticed they were almost arriving. "Look, we're almost there!" Erin said eagerly.
The bus stopped a few minutes later.
Sep 23 2012, 01:09 PM
Leon stretched as he stepped off the bus. He did not answer Erin's offer on the books, he knew that even with no danger he would have little time to read, between school and her. No between her and Koyuki-Senpai, yeah that's what he meant. He blushed a little without realizing it and turned back towards Erin. "So, Senpai. You will have to take the lead today, I don't know anything about this place." He laughed a little and without realizing it, took her hand. "Shall we?"
Sep 23 2012, 01:26 PM
Erin blushed a bit when Leon took her hand, but quickly recovered. It was totally normal, right? Yes, it was totally normal.
It had no meaning, and Erin didn't want to think in the 'what ifs'. She had too little time for something like... what? Nothing. She was just being silly.
"Yes, I shall give you a tour of Mitakihara's very own theme park!" She smiled and ran to the entrance, dragging Leon with her. It was a flashy entrance, the name of the theme park was in neon lights, that couldn't be seen very well in the daylight, but it was clearly well taken care of.
Sep 23 2012, 01:41 PM
Leon looked around the park, it looked fairly normal to him, the rides were the same, the tourists were the same, but a few things stood out. The park was built AROUND the natural scenery, it did not require it to be cleared out. This was amazing to Leon who had lived in a big city all his life. "Wooooooooooowwww....." He said looking around. He was like a child, everything looked amazing and new. He could smell the takoyaki stand and it made his mouth water, even the food stands were different here. "Hey, let's start with some Takoyaki, it just smells soooo good." As he started to walk over to the stand he noticed several carnival games, they were games of skill, but they lacked the seedy looking carnival people he was used to seeing in New Jersey.
Sep 23 2012, 01:53 PM
Erin giggled. "Sure, Leon-kun! You really seem excited, you know? Like a little kid!" She smiled, walking to the takoyaki stand. They were still holding hands, but it was not awkward. Not awkward at all! She paid for takoyaki for both of them, noticing that she had mistakingly brought 11000 yen instead of 2000. Wow, how'd I grab a 10000 bill instead of a 1000 one? She thought, shaking her head and sighing. "Well, where do you wanna go next, Leon-kun?" She asked and smiled at him, eating some of her takoyaki. It was delicious.
Koyuki stopped at the entrance of the theme park, breathing heavily. "Phew..." She sighed. "Since when is the theme park this far?"
Sep 23 2012, 06:33 PM
Leon looked around the park, his eyes scanned the rides, trying to find one that he would enjoy. There was the teacup ride...too childish, the bullet train....too fast, the tunnel of love....yeah....no. Hrm, it was hard to decide, so many of them did not really fit what he wanted to do. He looked at Erin to ask what she wanted to do, when he noticed she had some takoyaki sauce on her face. He reached up and wiped it off with his thumb. "That could have been embarrassing." He said with a laugh. "I don't really know what I want to go on, do you have any suggestions?"
Sep 24 2012, 05:48 AM
"Oh, thank you!" Erin smiled and looked around.
The roller coaster was too violent- it had some seven loops. The merry-go-round was cute, but clearly for kids. There was also the tunnel-- nope, nothing to see there. She shifted her eyes to the left.
Bingo! She thought and smirked. "Hey Leon-kun, let's go to the haunted house!" She suggested. It was a sort of courage test for herself. Every year she would go to the haunted house, and try to overcome her fear of the unknown and unexpected. The inside of the house never changed, and Erin already knew what was going to happen and when, but somehow she always got scared.
"I've gone there once a year for five years, but it always scares me... It's very shameful. Maybe this year I will be okay"
Koyuki sneakily walked around the park. She knew for a fact that Erin's first choice would be her annual visit to the haunted house- she could see them walking. She smirked when she saw Erin point to the haunted house.
That girl is so predictable Koyuki laughed on the inside.
Sep 24 2012, 09:44 AM
Leon looked down at Erin when she pointed to the haunted house. "If that is where you want to go." He said with a smile. They walked into the building, as he finished off the last of his takoyaki and threw the stick away. He wasn't sure what to expect, he'd only ever been to one haunted house in America and he was five then, the house had scared him really badly back then. He wondered if this would have a similar experience, he doubted it though. Compared to witches and fighting, this was really nothing.
Sep 24 2012, 10:01 AM
Erin carefully stepped inside the haunted house. The first board creaks, the second doesn't. She thought, stepping on the first board. Surprisingly enough, it did not creak. "What the--" Erin said. Oh no. Oh no. Had the house been changed?! This was gonna be bad... She was going to be even more scared than usual. Taking a small step into the second wooden plank, Erin jumped, startled, when it creaked. "Eep!" She said. "I was not expecting that..." She looked around, everything was cloaked in black. Erin breathed deeply. Nothing to fear here. She told herself, in an attempt of comfort. It failed.
She walked a few more steps, and heard a "boo!" In front of her, at the same time that a white shadow passed her by, shining against the dark room. "GYAA!" Erin screamed, tripping backwards.
Koyuki was hidden in a corner, laughing. She had been the one who changed the haunted house's inside. "That's gonna cause poor Eri a good scare!" She held back a laugh, wiping a tear from her eye, but returned to laughing openly when she heard Erin scream.
"Hahaha!" She fell to the ground laughing. "This is so mean..."
Sep 24 2012, 10:06 AM
Leon sensed something was wrong, this didn't feel like a normal haunted house. He couldn't figure out why, but something seemed off, it put him on guard. He stepped behind Erin just as she tripped and caught her. "You need to be more careful, Senpai, you wouldn't want to hurt yourself." He helped her up but kept a hand lightly on her arm. "I won't let anything hurt you, I promise...." He began to lead the way, watching each corner carefully, ignoring the scares but watching for a possible tangible threat.
Sep 24 2012, 10:15 AM
"..." Erin regained her composure silently, blushing. "There's nothing here that can hurt me, only scaaaare... me badly" She said, her voice turning into a sort of scream when she stepped on a creaky board, and a pair of red eyes shone through. She hid behind Leon. She was walking fine behind Leon, when she felt a hand touch her back. She froze as her face turned pale and she turned backwards, slowly. All she could see in the dark were three pairs of shining eyes. "AAAAAAAAAAH!" She screamed, clutching Leon's arm tightly. "Th-there's something there..." She said, her voice trembling.
Focusing on her illusion creating, Koyuki kept laughing. She made it so the kids wouldn't hear her.
"And now... eyes appear behind Eri!" She said, and a few moments later heard a loud yell. "Hahaha..." She laughed. "Oh, this is too much fun!" She kept playing with reality, trying not to alter any of the kids' reactions. "Hm, what should I do next?" She thought, playing with her hair.
Sep 24 2012, 10:20 AM
Leon turned around, putting himself between Erin and the eyes. They were not real, he could tell, but something was trying to tell him they were real and could harm him. This wasn't right....but this wasn't like a witch either, the pranks were too harmless. Perhaps someone was messing with the haunted house. Well as long as it was doing no real harm, he agreed that Erin could use a good scare, but who would want to scare Erin personally? He had a few ideas, but the fact that she came here every year increased that list a lot.
He held Erin's hand and turned around. "It's fine, Senpai, they are part of the haunted house, they can't actually hurt you. Just stay by me and everything will be fine." He looked down at her and gave a gentle smile. "I won't let you go."
Sep 24 2012, 10:30 AM
Erin blushed a bit and held onto Leon's hand. She took her phone out of her pocket with her other hand, and started up her 'Flashlight' application. "This way, we can see the internal mechanicals of--" She froze. She had pointed the flashlight at a corner, but there was something standing there.
It was a man-like figure. He had no face, his head was bald and blank. He was wearing a black suit, and had abnormally long arms. Erin's heartbeat raced with the fear she suddenly felt- she could swear all she heard was static noise.
Suddenly, she fell to her knees, her eyes open widely with fear.
"S... S..." She blubbered. She was trembling a lot, and her face was filled with cold sweat.
"Ow... I did not expect that reaction." Koyuki said without breaking her illusion. That had been a low blow, she knew that Erin feared the Slenderman a lot, ever since they had played that frightening game at midnight- Koyuki would've probably gotten out of there yelling like crazy if she'd been faced with such a thing. But taking out a flashlight?
She couldn't have missed that opportunity.

Leon did not know what was going on, but he did not hesitate to step between Erin and the strange faceless man. "I did not realize lack of faces was so frightening for you, Senpai." He said with a bit of a chuckle. "I suppose this is something right out from your nightmare? Which means..." It meant that the person who was doing this new Erin very well, something only a best friend could know. I know you are out there Koyuki-Senpai...you kind of gave yourself away, you know.
Leon started to scan the darkness, he was pretty sure he would not be able to see through her illusions, but he was hoping that his silent declaration would be enough for her to slip up and give herself away. I won't tell Erin-Senpai that this was you, or that you are following us for some reason, but this is too far, this is too mean. You must stop this.

Teehee, oopsies! I kind of gave myself away by playing that one card, didn't I? I'm sorry for freaking Eri out, but I'm not gonna stop. Sorry about that, Kyrin-kun! But, I am doing what I think is best for Eri!
...That sounds kind of bad given that I almost gave her an heart attack, doesn't it? Whatever. Don't try to stop me, now. You can't find me, you know? Heehee, I'll see you later! That is, if you even remember that we talked!
Koyuki smirked, and broke her haunted house illusion, not without making Leon forget their little chat first. She walked away, hiding herself under an illusion, waiting to see where they'd go next.
The static noise stopped. Erin focused her sight again, the Slenderman was gone. She was pointing her flashlight at an empty wall- No, there was a vampire there! Erin suddenly recognized where she was, and realized it was all back to normal.
"Oh... He's gone..." She got up and breathed deeply in relief. "I'm sorry about that, Leon-kun, I kind of... freaked out. But, that was one thing I fear a lot, you know? The Slenderman..." She shivered.
"Anyway, everything seems to be normal now, I should be able to predict what is going to happen next!" She smiled and blushed a bit, noticing she'd been holding Leon's hand the whole time.

Leon blinked, something wasn't right. He was angry but he could not remember why. His instincts told him something was wrong, something wasn't normal, but he could not pinpoint it. He looked down at Erin and smiled. "I'll be sure to always keep my face on around you then." He chuckled slightly at his really bad joke. "Can you lead the way? I don't know anything about this place." What was this? Nagging at the back of his mind, he was pretty sure he wasn't in any danger, but something still felt...off.

"Ah, at last, I am free!" Erin stretched out her arms when they finally reached the outside of the haunted house. She had fearlessly led the way, predicting everything that would happen before it did. After seeing the Slenderman, nothing could scare her inside that house. It had been so terrifying, and pretty weird as well. Like it was... planned out? She was probably overthinking it.
"So, where should we go next, Leon-kun?" Erin asked, looking around. "Oh!" She said, smiling, when she turned back. "The teacup ride! I love it!" She grabbed Leon's hand and ran to the teacup ride. "It's so much fun, because the teacups spin around!"

Leon laughed, he remembered liking these when he was just a kid, but it seemed that Erin-Senpai was still a kid at heart, despite being older than him. Oh well, he might as well let himself go and enjoy his time here, that was the reason for coming, right? He climbed in the cups with her and held on, he would not spin it, he didn't want her to get dizzy. "Erin-Senpai, you are in charge of spinning, show me what you enjoy." he smiled at her again, for some reason he could not stop smiling today.

Erin smirked. The course of the teacup ride went up and down several times, so all they needed to do was shift their weight to make the cup spin. Erin knew what she had to do well- she loved that ride and went there all the time and had figured out the mechanics of it.
On the first climb, Erin slid to the place opposite to Leon, making the cup spin a bit. She giggled.
"I love this!" She said, smiling, as they started to go down, spinning again.
Since Leon was sitting on the topmost side of the cup, Erin moved close to him when the cup started to go up again, making it spin again. She laughed, it was just so much fun!

This ride was a bit different than Leon had remembered, he was pretty sure it did not move vertically only moved in a circle and then the cups themselves spun, this was kind of nice, not scary though and there was no adrenaline involved at all. He could tell that Erin-Senpai was having a good time and that was enough for him. He wanted to relax and have fun himself, but something was holding him back, a nagging sensation from back in the haunted house, he could not figure out what it was and it was bothering him.

Erin kept freely sliding through the cup, laughing openly. "I love this! It's so much fun!" She smiled as the cup spun and spun.
When the ride was over, Erin shook her head for a bit. "That was fun!" She said, grinning. "What should we do n--" She started, but noticed an expression of worry in Leon's face. "Leon-kun? Is everything okay?" She asked, raising an eyebrow. "You look worried... Did something happen? Is there a witch around?!" She asked, and looked around. Her ring didn't pulse, maybe she was just overreacting. She looked at Leon again, staring into his eyes. "What's wrong?" She asked again, with a sweet smile.

Leon blinked, drawn from his own thoughts by Erin's questions. "Nothing really, I-" He lost his statement when he looked into Erin's eyes, had they always been this pretty? They were a beautiful color that managed to catch the sunlight and almost sparkle. Why was he even thinking like this? This was Erin-Senpai, it wasn't right for him to think of her in that way.
He raised his hand to his mouth and coughed slightly, trying to recover himself. "I'm fine, I guess it's a lot harder for me to turn off serious mode than I thought." He reached down and took her hand, this time it was intentional. "Where are we going next? There are a lot of rides we haven't tried yet, you know."
