I've been an on and off Mabinogi player for a while, and I mostly play for the music aspects nowadays. So I've built up a decent library of custom MMLs, and making them has become a bit of a hobby. Figured I'd share some of them here. They're all youtube vids, so no downloading required. I'll be keeping a list of planned MMLs, and generally make 1-2 a week.

For the Mabi players who may hang around, I'm on the Mari server. The MML for any song I post here is available via request through PM. I also take requests, if anyone is interested.

Is that a game where you create music? 0.o

Either way, the compositions sound good and I can't wait to hear Dire Dire Docks! =D
Rast
You can create music in it. It has it's own variety of MML(Music Macro Language), which is sort of like it sounds. You write out a string of text that represents the notes, and it plays it via an in-game instrument of your choice. It's similar to how a MIDI file is played on your PC The game isn't solely about making/playing music, but it's one of many things you can do in game.

And yeah, Dire Dire Docks will be a fun one. I normally compose them in Noteworthy Composer, then convert them to MML format, and it doesn't take horribly long(around 3-5 hours of work), but I'm pacing myself. Thinking of doing 2 new songs a week, and releasing them on Tuesdays and Fridays.

Wow, that's a really cool feature to have in a game. ^^
Anyway, I'll be keeping an eye out for Dire Dire Docks, to be sure! =D

Updated the first post! No Dire Dire Docks yet(in the works), but I did finish up Cool Cool Mountain.
X-M-O
I love Cool Cool Mountain! Excellent work on that one. ^^
Still waiting for Dire Dire Docks, but Cool Cool Mountain definitely is worth listening to for the wait! happy.gif

I feel compelled to post this here, because I can. To clarify the background behind this, Mabinogi is having a Double Rainbow event(Pretty much doubles all experience, AP, etc etc gains), and to celebrate I took the time to throw this MML together.

Other songs will still be worked on and hopefully maintain a stable Tuesday/Friday update schedule.

It sounds pretty, but I don't recognise it. Is the name of it actually "Double Rainbow"? o.o

Anyway, the more I hear, the more I want to hear, so definitely keep doing this! ^^
Rast
Yeah, it's from a video this guy posted a while back of his reaction to seeing a double rainbow. Schmoyoho took the video and auto-tuned it into a song:

Which is where Nexon took the name of the event from, and the reason I randomly made and started playing it in game, though not many people got the reference.
X-M-O
Oh, that makes a lot more sense now (I've watched a few of those but never recognise where I heard the music from). XD
(Have you heard the cat song? With the girl who was all emotional over loving cats? It was so weird, lol.)

Anyway, that part is off-topic, but if you can make a song based on that then you either have a good ear for music, or you've found the score somewhere online. D=
You're talented with it either way. ^^
Rast
Updated. Added the video for Dire Dire Docks, as well as some new planned songs.
X-M-O
Yes! Dire Dire Docks! ^^
Fantastic job on that one. =D
I'm going to listen to it again... XD

Minor update. I've got quite a few songs, but just haven't recorded them. I did, however, do a couple duets. The game -does- have a skill that lets everyone start playing at the same time, but we chose to ignore that and make some awesome duets...manually! It's a bit cut off, because I didn't actually expect the echo in the first one. The second one, I just didn't expect it to be so awesome and started recording late.

Updated. Added one more video(Final Fantasy X - To Zanarkand) and one more In-Progress song, which is finished but won't likely be recorded/uploaded for a bit.
X-M-O
I just listened to the ones I missed hearing last time I checked the topic.
I loved the duets! happy.gif
Nice work getting them to mix together like that, despite the background noise of other players, lol.

Wow. O.o
This is such an awesome feature for a game! Wow, great job on the songs Rast. Really enjoyed them.

Small update here. I've got quite a few new songs to upload, record etc, so in the meantime here's a short MML. It's a short version of Winter Wrap Up, from My Little Pony, as requested by a random Mabinogi player.

X-M-O
I don't recognise it, but it's a nice tune. Great job, and I'm looking forward to hearing the others you are working on! ^^

Updated(Finally). Added two new videos: Nana's Theme, from City Hunter, and Shissou by Last Alliance.

wow nice. Hey @Rast can you tell me where to download this maginobi game? On my petit computer on 3ds I use to love to toy around with MML but it was too hard to do it properly due to the well basicness of it. If it aint possible what other free MML Programs our out there that our as good.

The game itself is pretty mediocre nowadays. Servers aren't that great, game has more or less became Pay to Win. I don't have a specific program I use for MML. Mabinogi just has an in game scroll item you can write MML in to play it. I do all these songs in Noteworthy Composer, then convert them to MML using a program called 3ML(an MML program that can convert MIDI files to MML, or can be used to manually write and test play MMLs).
