Full Version: So I have a clear idea on the Overworld aspect of my game/project.

And sooner or later I'm either going to get banned for posting too much stuff, or banned for posting too many topics. If a mod sees 3 or 4 threads relating to different things of one project as excessive, please feel free to merge them or whatever.

Anyway. Sorta similar to Persona, the time is divided up into Days and Months. You have Sunrise, AM, Midday, PM, Sundown and Midnight events. On most days, your character will either be busy at work or similar. Depending on the character's job(if they have one) you will get increased stats over time. For instance, working in the Library will increase your Intelligence stat over time. You'll also earn Money and Small bits of EXP unless you're playing Lunatic.

AM will either be your Character's Job, or you can choose to have the Character go look for one. You can also visit the City Park, Store and the Reality Hack HQ, but it will be closed until Sundown.

Midday, you can choose to go to the store, the park, and anywhere else around the city. In addition, you can choose to go practice a Sport, or train with your Party Members.Meeting a Party Member in the Park and choosing to practice Swordplay or Archery with give you EXP Towards a Skill of your Choice. Although, the Skill has to be relatively similar to the Practice you're doing. You can't level up a Magic/Psychic Skill by doing Swordplay. You can organize things with your friends and party members by using the phone. If you have something planned, you'll go do that at Midday.

PM, you can do most of the things you could at Midday, Minus meeting party members. If you have something planned, this will be skipped. Some jobs will also skip Midday straight to PM.

Sundown, You can visit the Reality Hack HQ at this time, and you're forced to on some days. Sundown is also when you're able to visit Dungeons, namely "The Undercity" where the Psychic Monsters(the main "antagonists") are coming from, although occasionally, you're called there at earlier times when Specter notices a change of activity there. When you're actually there, you're usually given an mission such as "Find and Defeat Boss X" or "Investigate this Mystery" You can also be told to just go straight through a dungeon, including defeating the boss.

Midnight, This is when you can use the Main Character's Reality Hack, and you also are able to Moderate the "Haunted" Chat room. By using it, you will be able to solve certian Mysteries, and also be able to get bonus scenes and bonuses for the Main Character if you take full advantage of it,

Yeah, I need some opinions.

As long as your topics are about different subjects/aspects of your game you can post as much as you want as long as you have a point and something to say so I wouldn't worry about that.

As for the day and night system, I really liked it in Persona because it really added a sense of gameplay/time to the game, I loved it, cant believe other ppl dont use it.

This sounds really incredible, not only does it add a sense of time to the game, it's also a really good way to increase stats and xp outside of just battling. I really liked this concept in persona 3 and 4 and am glad to see it being used in an RM game.

The only thing I can really see that might be an interesting addition that would fit in what you have listed here; is a friendship or relationship meter. I don't mean like in persona that unlocks story plot and a new persona. My thoughts is maybe have characters work better together in combat when they have higher friendship, maybe even unlock new attacks when those members are in the same team.

I'm not sure if this fits into your game or is even something you'd be able to do, but I think it'd be a great addition. Aside from that it looks really really interesting and I can't wait to see it implemented. laugh.gif

That sounds like a good idea, actually.

Glad to help happy.gif, if you need any other help or just someone to bounce ideas off of, I'd be glad to lend my assistance again.

Cool ideas. Making flow charts will prob be necessary to keep track of that in designing your project. Let us know if you need help and feel free to share whatever you make :-)
