I have a few questions concerning software and setting it up. First question is related to video recording. I can't seem to find any video recorder that will allow me to record audio with it. I have gotten Camtasia Studio 7 and have set it to "record audio", but it never does. Its pretty slow, too, but oh well for that. Does anyone know how to get it recording audio right, and if not, any recorders I could use that records audio as well?
Second question; It is in regards to Ruby. I have been trying to find a software or editor I could use to write in Ruby and see its outcome "all in one", as in seeing its finished code displayed somehow other than the default Ruby irb (which gives me errors for anything mathematical or anything other than "print"). I am following a book I rented to learn Ruby called "Beginning Ruby: From Novice to Professional" by Peter Cooper. I haven't been able to get passed the "Installing Ruby" part as the editor he shows and says he has, is no longer supported, buggy and outdated. It looked like this, if anyone is interested.
I've been told irb can be used and I know that, but I am looking for something different. Currently, I have Sublime Text 2, Note++, Ruby default, and the RMXP editor. So I was hoping anyone more advanced in this could point me in the right direction?
Thank you all for taking the time out of your day to read this, and thank you twice if you offer assistance.
