There's been very few projects that have peeked my interest lately, one that really stood out was defold. I had my invitation for over a month but now just started using it as that's when time allowed me.

In many ways defold is like rpg maker and in other ways it's completely different, one main difference that it's different is the fact you have total control over your game, you can can create your own font files, and one reason they're the same is with game objects and components which would be like events in rpg maker.

"The Defold engine and tools are built on powerful and simple concepts that are fun to use because they work with me and allows me to focus on my game's specific design problems. It clearly shows that the Defold developers have put their long industry experience and massive design and implementation effort into creating a great, unique platform."

I would love to try it out. I'm always looking for new engines to use, especially ones I can currently run on my PC's specs. And I've tried many, especially many Ubuntu/Linux users mostly use. smile.gif
