Has anyone seen this movie? I tried watching it, but I had to stop, not because I'm offended by the game, but the designer just kind of seems self-serving, like he wanted to be controversial for the sake of being controversial. I also couldn't get into the game because I thought it was boring. On a side-note, the theme song for the game is "The Nobodies" by Marilyn Manson. It is on his album "Holywood: In The Shadow of The Valley of Death", which is a very good album, and was Manson's response to being a scapegoat for the shootings.

I haven't seen the film or played the game.
I dislike games that deal directly with something that was a tragedy, as they always seem pretentious and as though they are mocking the event; people died and you make game about it?
Sure, it's controversial, and I don't mind most controversial topics being put into games (religion, race, sex, etc.), but when it comes to innocent people that died... it's another thing entirely.

Some weeks ago I treid to order the movie but it wasn't possible from my country sad.gif
If there's any other way to watch it please let me know.

The game is very poor, because it is made by a guy who found RPG Maker, played around with it and released his first project. The game has poor graphics, horrible gameplay (round based fights in something that should be a shooting game? that's a huge fail!) and the balancing after the gunmen died was a nightmare (it wasn't possible to survive even 5 of those hell creatures).

Nice try, Danny, but you better keep making movies, because you can't make games.

You know what would be interesting? A game about a fictional school massacre with shooting battle system and good graphics.

I remember hearing about the game in a Game Informer magazine and was interested in it... who the hell would make a video game based off of something like this?

I'll check out the movie.

Yeah, it's on Netflix, and that was my general impression on the game when I tried to play it. I got bored really fast. I guess that was my point about the documentary - it was all about the guy who designed the game and not at all about game design theory and how games can help us better understand why real events happened. I would suggest checking out the game or the documentary, but they both suck...I really just wanted someone to commiserate with (thanks Caroline tongue.gif)

Daniel LeDonne did wink.gif

I read some interview with him and he said he didn't made the game for his "5 minutes of fame".
