Hello, haven't been on here in a while. I'm finishing up my game and am wondering how to merge all the files into essentially one .exe file. So when someone downloads the game, they would unzip it and all they would see is the .exe file, click it, and be able to play the game. I've seen this done before on RM2K3. I have no clue how about doing it. If someone could point me in the right direction, that would be epic.

Packs your files into an installer and installs the files into your program files folder.

Giving you an exe file in your start menu to run the game.

I don't think that's what I'm looking for... I need something that will compress(is that the right word?) all the folders, maps, and files into a single exe file so that when someone downloads the zip file all they see is the exe icon as apposed to all the folders, maps, and files.

I though a program existed called "Mole" something... I don't remember what it was called.

There was a discussion about this on our site some time back. Molebox, I believe is what you are looking for, but I don't believe it's free. There's also the Utility Patch you can use. However, it appears that somebody also created a plug-in patch that bypasses Molebox's encryption, so the effort to lock up your game files may not be worth the effort considering the technology available to bypass it.

That's it! Thank you sir!

Another question if anyone knows, I'm trying to use RMrecker and or also REShacker to change my game icon. I have my icon saved as an ICO with 16 by 16px. I tried doing it- it said it worked, on both programs however the original icon was removed and the new one wasn't even put in its place. Now it has no icon. Anyone know a good tutorial to follow or could point me in the right direction to get it working? Is this because I'm on a 64 bit OS?
