Kronk's New Groove

Funny, but emperor's new groove is better.
What? Serious film fanatic can't enjoy an animated funny? ohmy.gif

Edit: Metropolis (the Japanese animation) gets a special mention. The film itself is brilliant, but it's the end that has an incredible re-playability. Me, my best friend, and my brother, once spent several hours watching the end over and over again. AMAZING film, but (for a few flaws early in the film) doesn't make my list.

In no particular order, seriously, I have no idea what my favourite movies are, these are just the ones that I happen to like or checked my DVD collection to see if I really like any of them. I find it hard to want to watch movies over and over again, seriously, I've had to wait for a year to watch Scott Pilgrim again and I'm not even sure I want too.

1. Shawshank Redemption
I re-watched this today, such a good movie. I guess you could say I liked Shawshank Redemption from the start.

2. Harry Potter and The Prisoner of Azkaban
My favourite of the series.

3. Toy Story 3
Cause it made me leak stuff from my eyes and it hurt my heart. Not that I cried or anything.

4. Rush Hour 3
Cause Jackie Chan and Chris Tucker kick a bunch of people and they are funny.

5. Of Mice and Men
Actually I havent seen this for like 5 years, I should find this, it was really quite good.

I can never decide my absolute favorite of anything, so there's no order. Just my 5 most loved movies.

1. Scott Pilgrim VS The World - Awesome music, awesome effects, awesome fighting, nerdy references, love, and hilarity. I can't get enough of this movie.

2. Lord of the Rings: Return of the King - An epic closing to an epic series. Again, I love the music so that gives it bonus points, but besides that this movie is still fantastically done.

3. Spirited Away - Such a great movie. Loved it as a kid and still love it now. Will I stop loving it? No. Do I want to? No.

4. Titanic - I cry every time I see this movie and am not ashamed to admit it. Not even manly tears. Extremely feminine tears.

5. Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgandy - This movie is way too quotable and way too funny. I can't wait for the sequel :3

This is probably not my definitive list, but definitely the best ones I can think of at this time:

1. The Godfather
This film does everything right for me. The actors' performances are really powerful, especially Marlon Brando, and the themes about the ever-so-elusive American Dream are fleshed out really well. Well-balanced and powerful movie.

2. Pulp Fiction
Crazy humour, funny and perfectly cast characters, especially Samuel L. Jackson's character. One of the best and most quotable scenes in movies, summed up in three words: Royale with Cheese.

3. The Matrix
A favourite from when I was young. Hong Kong action, ground-breaking FX and very imaginative. Non-stop action, really fun stuff and a good storyline too. But mostly slow-motion fighting in the air. Which is good enough for me.

4. Taxi Driver
A Martin Scorcese masterpiece, with bitter themes, and a main character that you're not necessarily going to be willing to meet. Pretty obssessed and paranoid guy alienated from society and does some weird things. Oh, and it's Robert DeNiro. Did I forget that part?

5. Up
This film made me almost cry. Not many films do that. A masterwork of art, with great graphics and very touching storyline. As always, Pixar tell it with a wit and depth that is unexpected, each and every time. They raise the bar for animated movies anytime they release one. Here's to hoping Brave will be the same (right now it looks like a copy of "How to Train Your Dragon").

And that's basically it! Hope you enjoyed reading my top 5 smile.gif

1. Anything Star Wars
2. Anything Lord of the Rings
3. Anything Harry Potter
4. Anything Phantasm (Don Coscarelli)
5. Silverado
zacheatscrackers
1. Napoleon Dynamite (nothing will top this in my opinion)

2. Beavis and Butthead Do America

3. Inception

4. Any of the Spiderman movies to be honest

5. Tory Story 3
JinjerJack
Hmm... well, off the top of my head, I can only think of 4 (though technically they're in total more than 4).

1. Kung Pow: Enter the Fist
This one was hilarious. Out of all the comedy films I've watched, this one probably made me rear up with laughter the most.

2. Yes Man
Watched it a long time ago and watched it again a few days ago. Now I remember why I loved it so much.

3.Pirates of the Caribbean (any or all)
Come on, is there anyone out there who does NOT like Jack Sparrow?

4. Sherlock Holmes (1 and 2)
And I though Adrian Monk and Patrick Jane were the best. This guy just blows them away. Also nice to see some steam-punk action/comedy.

I'm sure there are more, but I just can't be bothered to remember.

Anyways,
Cheers.
