It's been so long since I've been on these forums, oh man. But I've been doing my thing still, making music out the hoozah, Lately I've been super into hip hop and stuff like nujabes and shlohmo. And I've really found myself a style I dig. So I hope you like this sampler of my album aha.

Well this is a completely different feel from things that are generally posted music wise. But that in no way means I don't enjoy it. I love the chillness of it, I could definitely just relax and have this loop in the background hehe The people talking and walking in the background was an interesting touch, as was the delay you put on at the end. The melody, the progression, everything about this was very well done smile.gif

Thanks man. I know alot of people on the forums here don't really listen to much like. New hiphop but you know. It's just what I do cool.gif

I'd have to say MrGuy0250 has pretty much nailed it on the head in terms of your style of music. I personally thought it was really interesting and to some degree innovative just because of its uniqueness, it's a nice change of pace from listening to the norm. smile.gif This is very atmospheric considering the bustling gibber-gabber in the background. I really like how there are a multitude of different genres infused in this song and to make it all flow into one, now THAT'S pretty cool stuff! thumbsup.gif

Carolina in Blue (Refinished) has a real bluesy feeling at first, but instantly goes into a hip-hop/jazz that I haven't heard done well in a long time!
I absolutely love it! ^^

I would have listened to it sooner if I wasn't absent, but this is definitely music that I'm interested in hearing more of. happy.gif
It has a lot of depth - a lot of soul - and is very melodic.
I listened to your previous versions of Carolina in Blue and you've definitely improved on it.

I checked out your other songs as well, and It's Just The Rain is brilliant! ohmy.gif
(I love the bass, and I love rain - good combination. The melody is calming, and the idea that it's "just the rain" really plays out once the music ends at 3 minutes and there is just rain for 6 minutes more.)

By the way, I'm unsure of what it reminds me of, but New Beat has a very familiar sound to it at the beginning. Hmm... Can't put my finger on it. ><
It's a really cool piece though. =D

I'll have to check out the rest of your music as time allows. ^^

Thanks!

I'm kinda tryna to take a little of everything I know and make something that's truly "My Own" and it proves hard sometimes aha. It's just the rain is actually on a new album I'm working on which also has this song on it, Although I'm thinking about taking the ROARING sub out of carolina. New beats actually alot darker than what I'm trying to go for in general, but something about the general heaviness really lets me keep it on my soundcloud. Then again, most anything I've ever wanted to share ever for the last like 3 years is on my soundcloud xD

Carolina in Blue - I like the jazzy style mixed with the hip hop beats and the general feel to it. A very cool piece. As already was mentioned, the random chatter in the background adds so much style to this piece. It fits so well.

It's very different from most of the musicians around here, which makes it extra interesting. Very unique and cool tongue.gif

Figured RRR would appreciate me doing electronic/Video Game Esque/Alternative

Yet to record the guitars, but my recording should be sounding decent for sure. Stepping up my production game alot.
X-M-O
Yes, it does sound complete enough without the guitar, but I think having the guitar on top would make the melody a lot more obvious.
Looking forward to hearing the complete version. =D
(Everything after 1:08 is my favourite part of this song. ^^)

(Carolina in Blue:) Great work, man. Really wish I could make stuff like that... a Hip-Hop/Jazz hybrid that works PERFECTLY. Nothing feels out of place; it's all so natural.

(BBF:) Good work with the... uh... stuff and things. Compression? Cutting? Hard work? (Sidechaining! That's it! Everything else is good, too. Epic ninjitsu!)
It'd sound a lot more complete with guitars, I'm sure, and some more work besides. Here, it feels like it's missing a main theme until about 1:08.

Thanks man, CIB is a favorite piece of mine. Proud.

I definitely overdid the compression and some of levels on my shop headphones, and I wanna change the synth sounds in parts. I think the first half would work better with some proper sounds, less clipping.
