Loads of friendly insane people on here that are bound to help you gotten anywhere with your project at the moment? or still early development.

I'm designing the first level right now, I'm having a little bit of trouble with eventing though.

Which RPG you using, i'm still in the outdated era, still think rpg maker 2003 is the best one available eventing is all trial and error to begin with but if you really get stuck there is always the forums here with people willing to help you with your problems.

I use XP. I'm not that much of a vx fan
