Ok recruitment thread is gone so simple question where do I go to hire ppl? what are ppl supposed to do in the meantime, im sure someone realizes that projects die when there isnt a place to mingle ideas and skills.

We've pretty much added about 10 new forums that do exactly that (mingle ideas and skills).

You are allowed to Recruit within your game's topic. (That really is the best place for recruiting, so now it's been moved there.) =]

The new forums allow you to discuss and hash out every aspect of your game, and your game topic is where you can recruit and update the progress of your game (among other things).
Anyway, hopefully that answers your question. ^^

I think kaz was going to mention the forum update in the announcements area soon.

Ah, thank you for that very clear answer. Its sad that nothing can be simple anymore. I remember the good old days where I would make a topic saying what I needed, a pix or spriter for pay and I would get many replies with interested ppl. Now I make a topic like that and ppl talk down to me like im a idoit for making the topic....I have hired more ppl on this site and any other site then everyone combined and this is what I get now...

It is simple. You just say what you need, in your project thread.

I did announce it and explain

http://www.rpgrevolution.com/forums/index....mp;#entry558112 post 26.

This gives the reason why - and also there were so many "help plz" topics that the proper recruitment ones like you do Lato were getting swamped.

In the new layout we want people to get a Project Showcase (formerly GUC) going so we at least have an idea of the game they are planning. Here you can advertise for help and straight away the can see the game they are helping with, rather than linking to other topics.
We will be producing a "user guide" to the new layout - once it is finished.

Simple in theory but not really. First I have to make a new and BIGGER thread about my project, instead of just a some topic about wanting certain skills, then I have to give out my ideas about my game and screen shots which I DONT want to do, THEN i even have to wait for it to get approved lol.

Yes this is a BIG leap from the good old days...

Sorry the good old days like when I first joined are long gone- the forum has to make changes to survive and these changes have to be unique.

You don't have to make a huge topic- the mods have been give discretion with the topics that are giving an overview of a game for proposes of recruitment. Having some info will help you get the helpers you need.

So an brief overview the style you are going for and the maker.at least gives potential recruits to your game an idea of what they are getting into.Feedback shows that potential helpers always ask for info before they commit,

Screenshots are not essential in this case

The Recruitment area was under mod approval anyway - so nothing new there.

I understand, I really do, I see the same kinda thing on the other sites as well. Everything has to change with time, some things last some dont, I have always hated change with a passion. I love the good old days when the recruitment topic was swamped with requests and it was easy pickings, but oh well ill have to get used to it.

I know the mods are working really hard to improve this site and keep it going so no anger there.
