(first of all, note to mods:the forum rules mentioned that locked topics could be re-opened by the OP, but I could find no way to do so...so I'm making a new topic I plan to actually make use of, sorry if I missed something, merge/delete the old one if you must)

Unfortunately I let my old topic get locked from inactivity and I can't seem to make use of that now.

But hey, a new board just for audio. I can get into this.

Here's a little something I made recently. (not for Gai's Hunters which I'm working on as well - you can check that out in my sig-banner - links to the soundtrack for that in that topic, but it's also accessible through the soundcloud link)

I'm quite pleased with how it turned out. Since it's not for any project in particular, anybody is welcome to utilize it. Hopefully I'll churn out a lot more stuff soon - which I'll post here.

Wow, that was really nice. I really liied the second half, but the B section just gets monotonous after a bit, even after thje bells come in. Perhaps try giving the bells a different rhythm, a bit syncopated perhaps to mix it up? Either way, keep it up

I love the music you made. Can we use any of the music you made, counting the other songs you made? Even if it is commercial or non-commercial, just to ask for any people that ask.

Thank you very much for the feedback.

@MrGuy - thanks for the suggestions! However, after considering it carefully, I'm still very hesitant to make changes. I kind of like where the song sits, as I think it fits the song's imaginary purpose. (I created it with a semi-peaceful, snowy scene in mind....a forest, plains, or a town in winter) Not really made to be "listened" to as much as it's meant to be heard, and sit comfortably in the background. It's a tricky balance - make the song interesting but don't let it distract. If this were written strictly for listening, I wouldn't hesitate to shake things up.

@sewnsew: I'm glad you enjoy my music! You can use any music that is not in the Gai's Hunters soundtrack for non-commercial projects. I think I've disabled downloads for most of those. ("A Dream in the Breeze" might not be disabled, but it IS part of Gai's Hunters) Anything else, go right ahead and use it in any free hobby project. For anything that's going to be sold for a profit, I would ask for payment (and I'd ask to create new, original music for it happy.gif )

I hope I'll have more new stuff to post here soon, but I've really really got to finish up a couple tracks for Gai's Hunters this week. Thanks again for the comments!

I am happy to hear that. But, this is my first game to make and want it to be really good, even though it is non-commercial. Do you know anyone who can make a few songs for me?
