Hi,

Well I'm here because my friends and I wanted to make a game so I journeyed across the interwebs and ended up here. I'm a newb at everything right now so forgive me if I have a question about everything. I plan to post progress of the game here on this forum so look for it in the next couple of weeks.

Right now we have a small group working on the game (I'm the character designer and the programmer lol), I was wondering if anyone else made fighting games here? I tried looking at the game section but couldn't find any.

Anyways I hope to get a lot of work done on the game and be friends with all of you.

Greetings and salutations!

Newbs are fine and cool and all. Nothing wrong with not knowing how to do something and/or wanting to learn. As for fighting games, we're certainly RPG oriented, but all games are welcome. You can submit a topic in the Submission Forum, or ask for help or otherwise post about what you use to make it in the General Game Engine Discussion section.

I used to screw around with MUGEN myself, and a bit of Fighter Maker(which is more of a simulator) on the Playstation. I tend to stick to RPGMaker 2003, though.

It's always great to have a local team developing a game, so I wish you luck with it and hope to see your progress. ^^

Hey! good to meet you, and look forward to seeing you about.

And if you're into making fighting games, might I suggest www.mugen-infantry.net ? That used to my go-to place for all things MUGEN...

Thank you all for a kind welcome.
As for MUGEN, I have played around with it during High School and thats what made the group decide to make an actual fighting game. We looked at different programs but right now were deciding on either GameMaker 8 or 2D Fighter maker. We wanted an actual story mode in the game unlike a arcade mode so we thought that we couldn't use MUGEN that well with the idea.
