Alright, so i haven't used RPG Maker XP for ages, and this is my last shot to make a game with it. I wanna educate as a game producer, so i feel it's good to at least have made 1 game. It is much easier to work when there are more than one person at the project, but anyway, let's move over to the subject.

In my game when you are to sleep, i currently use a picture that is black, and it goes straight black on the second, it doesn't fade out, like i want it to. Because i want it to look nice, not so abruptly.

Thanks for the reply guys

You have to use "Change Screen Color Tone". It is in the second page of "Event Commands". From there, you can use the colors Red, Green, and Blue. All three of them are "0", which is your default screen lighting. Just slide all three colors to the left, -255. From there, you can set how long it will take for it to happen with the "Time" [20 ] frame" set.

I use this to make a fade out when the player zone into another map or setting up cut scenes.

Pro Tip: Use it to help make a tone on your map, like when you in a dungeon. It should be darker.
