Full Version: Tilesets in VX
I was wondering if it is possible to add extra tilesets for vx through scripts. Like how they have tileset A-E or whatnot. I figured I'd ask before to edit the script myself.
You can't add more tilesets. 
You can, however, use a tileset swapper script, although IMO I would think it would be rather messy;

You have a few methods:
1. Edit your tilesets so you have all that you want within the constraints of the A-E limit.
2. Parallax map in an image program like GIMP or Photoshop.
3. Use SwapXT. It's an easy script to learn, and there are instructions for its use. There's also a video tutorial on youtube (search SwapXT tutorial) that teaches you what to do. However, as Resource Dragon stated, it's a bit messy, being that it's a 3rd party application. While it's easy to learn, it's tedious to use and will require some patience. However, I believe it's the only script available that will allow you unlimited tilesets in VX.
4. Switch to VX-Ace which brings back unlimited tilesets.

I would love to switch to ace only problem is I really love the Tankentai SBS, mostly because of the Kaduki battlers.. as far as I know the Kaduki battlers script hasn't been upgraded to work on ace yet...
