Anonymous Agony is a commercial video game focusing on dark, realistic themes. It will be distributed online in an episodic manner. It's setup like a television show, and it will be very heavy on story.




Haze and Clara don't have the best parents in the world, between their regular drug dealings, and other shady activity, but despite this, Haze and Clara go on living. Haze, an eighteen year old punk just starting starting to grow up holds a deep bitterness for the world as well
as his parents. He tries to protect his sister from the evil in the world he has experienced first hand. Clara, a ten year old girl just starting middle school that's very grown up for her age spends most of her free time online chatting with friends.

One day, Haze returns home to find that his younger sister has been raped, Haze discovers soon after that it was by a person she had been talking to online. After much strife, Clara is sent to a mental hospital to recover, Haze begins using his sister's online screen name to
lure out other internet predators in hopes of, in his own way, getting revenge on the world.

Anonymous Agony follows the parallel Stories of Haze and Clara.
As Clara heals and heads towards eventual recovery, Haze heads towards his own downfall.

he's talking to his sister Clara. He's usually disrespectful and rude.

I'd rather fight an impossible battle than surrender to a damning world."

Wow, I'm surprised this doesn't have comments. The character art is great. The story sounds heavy but unique. What will actual combat/gameplay look like?

i think the highlight is the character art wink.gif its good
i dunno why but people always seems to make big stairs even if the house is middle class
i think for outside map, its a bit too empty, sorry very empty, grass is too perfectly tend , if the sister tend it why not put flower or something?

and oh yeah why is it the door....only 1/2 height of people?
the house got 2nd floor, but in outside the house only 1 1/2 height of people sad.gif

oh yeah...i think...the little girl character art had a bit more big head, im not saying its bad, but its inconsistent with her brother head and police head.

UPDATE!!!
In response to all those who asked for more details about the gameplay, here you go!

The game is played like an interactive story, you do gain control of Haze, you can explore your house and your town in real time, you do this to gain clues, buy supplies, or just talk to the citizens.

The online chatting, boils down to dialogue trees, with numerous choices.

The main sections of gameplay are: Exploration/Investigation, Chatting online with detailed multi branching dialogue choices,
And lastly our equivalent to "Boss Fights" Which I can't speak about yet.
The main focus of this game will be the story though.

Kingdom RPG, the first historical roman RPG EVER made for a rpg maker game, maybe even for other systems as well.

We were going to save this to reveal with the new trailer, but!

I'd like to introduce the virtual art museum in Anonymous Agony.
Every episode we'll feature new artists in-game! If you like a piece,
you'll be able to view the artist's BIO and webpages right in-game.






So if you're an aspiring artist or photographer, that would like a piece

Firstly we'd like to again apologize for this delay, but we are just about ready to release File #1 of Anonymous Agony.
Technical work is completed, we're just finishing up some of the art assets.

File #0 had around six story illustrations, and File #1 has 30. That being said I feel it's about time to announce our final art team.

The new dialogue portraits have shifted from a full body view, to a shoulder up view as we feel this focuses on the
facial expressions much more.






Our new portrait artist is Nicole Wong and our whole team is very happy

All of the future story illustrations will be drawn by Melody Brown.
Melody drew one of the File #0 illustrations, and will take up the task of
handling all of them from now on. She will also re-draw the File #0
illustrations she did not do for the final version.

I'm afraid there may also be another delay with File #2 due to the complete set of
different assets it has. We'll have a lot of foundation work to complete.
Whole separate cast of characters (With the exception of Clara) meaning new portraits, soundtrack, areas,
menu graphics, it's essentially a whole different game.

But once File #2 is released, and we have the assets completed for both sides
of the story, we'll be able to keep the episode every two months deadline.

Some people had asked us how different File #2 was from #1, how different that
side really was. To answer that, it's lighter for one, it's nowhere near as morbid,
and we feel it really contrasts with the Haze side of the story. It also focuses on
simulated psychology sessions, rather than simulated online chatting and murder.

These two stories will eventually come together for the ending, but there's a lot
to get through before that happens.

Expect a trailer displaying all the features of File #1 sometime in October.
Expect File #1 to be released sometime afterwards.
