Full Version: Sprites Question

You know how your sprite sheet or (charset) for a character has to be 288 by 256 and the poses have to be in a 24 by 32 box. Is there anyway to change the 24 by 32 box size so that it encompass a slightly larger sprite? Hopefully that makes sense, new to the scene.

There's a pinned topic in this section with some patches that will allow bigger characters in 2k3

From What I can see that patch is for rpg2k not rpg2k3. Will it still work? Should have said I need this for 2k3

Currently there is no way to increase the sprite size of a sprite in RPG Maker 2003 sadly, but I hear there is a plugin creator coming out which will inherit the same possibilities as R2k's Char expand patch.

The only way I see this possible at this current time is to create a character sheet and split the parts of the character up into sections, and create events with each part on to form the original character, but this is... tedious and I'd rather refrain from it. I would only use this for something like a massive dragon which animates, but stays mobile.
